I love bulgar!! I av it every Sunday with peas and coconut milk. During the week I cook it plain and use it for stir fry..by adding scrambled eggs with sweet pepper, fry ripe plantain diced, onions, blackpepper n a lil ketchup:)

Where do you purchase your bulgar?
@chazmonique2 жыл бұрын
@@salamafullwood5582 HiLo, Shopperfair, Aj's, Young's etc. all major Supermarket in Spanish Town JA sells it and also a few small supermarket close to the market. I don't purchase the retail ones but instead I get the ones that come in a sealed pack and the wheats are cracked which makes it perfect for rice substitute.

I love my bulgar.I think it came from America through USAID.I also remember the cooking oil in the silver tin with the two hands held together. I didn't t like the taste of the oil but I always loved bulgar.I use it for porridge all the time. It used to be poor food back then or so people thought but now it's in the healthy category sold in health food stores and also other grocery stores. Bless up Debbie.Mi definitely a go try dat.

I’ve only had bulgar as porridge and love it, never had it like rice...can’t wait to try it. Thanks, Deb!
@pasteuredithzephyrzephyr49074 жыл бұрын
It is so good my dear. Cook it up the same way you cook your rice. Make sure you fry up garlic , onion, scallion in oil . Then, water and add some butter in it. For best result, let the water boil a little bit before you add the bulgur. Cover it up and let it cook the same way you cook your rice my dear . it is a perfect meal for diabetic people. Serve it with any kind of stew. Try it . I am a culinarist and I know exactly what I am talking about.

Morning Ms Debs that looks great. I've had the Bulgar a few times my sister in law is Jamaican but my brother is also a healthy freak so they eat all this kind of food the first time I had i never knew it wasn't rice but it tasted just like rice and I loved it but when I cooked it myself I put too much water and it was puffed up and not good and I threw it in the rubbish was not edible so I know now not too much water. I love how you seasoned it too. I would eat it on its own too. How is the water situation Ms Debs? Peace and love from across the pond💕UK
