I don’t know why but I keep watching this and I keep noticing how no one could look at the mom and almost every one of them turned away. Can’t say I blame them...Where do you put your eyes. That’s a walk no mommy should ever have to do. This is true sorrow. 💔

In my youth I babysat for the neighbors that lost their second born child at 6 weeks to this disease. Then their fourth born also battled this disease now that they knew what it was. He endured years of illness and surgeries but now is a man in his fifties. I, too, am from Nebraska.

What a brave young man he must have been, a battle grand he fought, what a family, Sebastian is a Hero of mine now as is the family , he gives life to others selflessly as does his family, a hard decision to enact but done graciously so for others to live on, I know this Why ? because I am a surgeon. I have dealt with families in this position & let me tell you they are all amazing people and I am super humbled every time ... HOW can anyone dislike organ donation? Would you dislike it if you mom, sister, son or any family member or friend needed an organ to save a life? I am so sorry for your loss . Also so grateful for the hero that gave me a heart and saved my life almost seven years ago. Forever grateful!

I wish I had even the slightest bit of strength those parents had. I wish more people could be united like that step-mom and mother for a cause greater than themselves and their titles.

I can't imagine your loss and how grueling your decision must have been, but God richly bless you for it. O pray He will comfort and encourage you! What a huge, selfless gift you have provided to countless others!

My son was born with Hirschsprung's Disease along with other congenital birth defects of his heart. He is 44 now and the road has not been easy at all. Over 22 major operations between his heart (4 open heart surgeries), spinal surgery (14" rods placed on both sides of his spine to straighten some of it), and a permanent ileostomy after years of trying to save "some" of the intestines...which failed. He died on the table several times. We credit Mayo Clinic Specialists for their exceptional care and understanding and knowledge and also UWMadison Chief of Colon/Rectal Surgery for giving him a last ditched effort at being somewhat "normal". Lots and lots of complications. There is no rhyme or reason to this disease or any of his other defects. It just happened. His life is not easy and sadly is becoming more depressed with pain 24/7. There is nothing more that can be done.

Sebastian lives on in others now and in the hearts of all he met while of this world. May your family find peace until you are once again united with your beautiful and brave little boy.

So such a big heart during a hard time❤ I know they will live forever .

I'm from Bermuda..I don't think it's done here..this is the first I've heard off this..started watching this a couple off days ago..the first one I watched I couldn't stop crying 😭😭..I've had a niece and nephew be organ donors..I think doing the walk is a beautiful and wonderful thing to do..I will suggest it to our Hospital board here in Bermuda..still 😪😭

Life is precious but not short!!! In this young man's brief time on this earth he touched many lives and saved lives after his death. That lets me know that although he is no longer here in the Physical Realm spiritually he will continue to live on, so when people say life is short to me that is an incorrect statement each life serves a purpose no matter how brief it may be on this Earth!!! May God continue to lift this family up and give them the strength to carry on!!!!

My best friends little boys got hirshprungs and my one of my twins has extreme short bowel syndrome 10cm of small bowel he is gastostomy fed and was up until last Sept total TPN dependent he lived in the royal london hospital for the 1st 17months of his life at 2 weeks old had his 1st life saving surgery .. he now has a life threatening condition there's only 200 like him in the world he has a life expectancy of 18 years with liver disease CP SPD ASD ADHD PTSD and my other boy has a non functioning bowel.. I have just cried watching this ... so sorry for your loss nothing i will say will make it better other than no more pain he will feel .. he is free ... here on earth everything is different for you but he is still there xx
