My adorable border collie would do this at 4.50 pm every day, with an accuracy rate of less than five minutes each side of 4.50. After about 15 seconds of beseeching me, she would race to her bowl and stand there, clacking her teeth. How adorable are these gorgeous creatures. Now she is over the rainbow bridge, I watch everyone else’s videos.

There hav been studies done suggesting that they hav some perception of time, but it's smell based. So if there's a particular smell they associate wt say diner that will trigger them or a diminishing smell, so the smell from the last meal has faded to a certain level signals it's diner time
