On September 2, 2023, an officer spotted a driver not wearing a seat belt, along with the other occupants in the vehicle in La Crosse, WI. Upon investigation, the officer learned that the driver's driving privileges had been revoked due to past offenses and proceeded to make an arrest. The driver resisted the arrest and displayed erratic behavior, all in the presence of his children.

@@jalenking810 That's why you COOPERATE with the officers and then just talk to the judge, so the judge can decide if he wants to toss the charges out or reduce them, which happens all the time. You can explain ALL that to the judge, show them your school acceptance, show them you're cleaning your life up and this was a minor mistake. But when you have a full blown tantrum, resist, scream, slam your head into the car, much less in front of your children... you won't get "grace" in that situation, you'll get more charges and make the police's job harder/more dangerous.

Police often say "We only catch the dumb ones". As a teenager, I started getting stopped by the police as soon as I got my first tatty old Italian sports car, go figure. There's a process, and you do the process to minimise the consequences for you, whether you enjoy it or not, because that gets the best outcome for you. In over 40 years of driving, I've paid less than $200 total in fines (call it $500 in today's money), that's it, and I've had plenty of fun. It's sad to see that he is behaving like a child and making bad decisions, and that likely comes down to upbringing and never learning how to deal with authority, believing he could always cry his way out of it. Whether you like it or not, society requires that kids in cars have certain protections, and one should be able to understand that and adapt to the reality of it. You might even want kids to have those protections. If you are driving while revoked, it probably makes sense to wear a seat belt yourself. Lots of bad decisions, unfortunately.

Options for people who don't want to go to jail include but are not limited to: 1. Don't drive drunk 2. Don't drive with a suspended license 3. Make sure you and you children are wearing seatbelts. I mean how is he gonna get his life together when he doesn't see that he did this to himself? He isn't even drunk!

Yeah my first thought after watching this was that this man should not have kids. Flat out. He is clearly one himself, with the emotional maturity of a 4 year old. For him to act like that and to turn to that so quickly is just pathetic. The impression I get from him is that he kind of presents himself as a tough guy in his life, so this is especially embarrassing. But no, he should not have kids. There are a lot of people in this world who simply should not.
