I could be over interpreting, but the video is titled “secrets Russian teachers don’t talk about”, it has an image from Darya’s recent anti propaganda video, and it puts an X over both of their mouths.

Yeah, you're right. Don't think that actually someone will say "Хороши" while learning Russian though, but you are right.

Yes, in regular speeches you can't hear that. But there's nothing wrong in this phrase. Even the opposite, you can use it in situations where you want to show that your things are REALLY GOOD. Мои дела хороши. It needs to be toned well, you must pull the word "ХОРОШИ" just like happy sleepy cat. By the way, could you tell me about my mistakes in this text?

​@@lefebvre3168Since the other person didn't respond: You’re missing an article before "happy sleepy cat" ("a happy sleepy cat"), and you could go for "conversations" instead of "speeches" and "any mistakes" instead of "my mistakes", but these are rather minor. In fact, I hadn't even noticed any of these before actively looking for mistakes as you requested, so you're doing very well.

Your post should be pinned at the top, with my response below. I knew every mistake he listed. I spent a year in Russia. Aside from a handful of words and memorizing the alphabet on my flight over, I learned everything during my time there by listening. His whole point in this is trying to break what you just did. You’re using English structuring to form a sentence in Russian. This may sound right as you translate your English sentence into Russian before you say it, but to a native, you’ll sound very robotic because this isn’t how they speak or use it. This honestly is why his channel is so much better than the rest. They teach words without considering the pupil. All of these little nuances aren’t nuances to them because it’s how they understand their language, so they teach expecting people to know this stuff. Especially true if they’ve never lived in an English speaking language and never been corrected on their mistakes as they apply Russian structuring to English. His time in America allowed him to see and learn the differences without necessarily having to be told or taught. His goal with this channel isn’t just teaching vocabulary, but _proper_ vocabulary.

Шарить also can be used as "to share" sometimes. In this case it's directly taken from English and used with the same sense. For example: расшарь мне файл - share the file to me. Он пошарил мне инфу - He shared the info with me. However, this is mostly used among young people and not so often.

@@BessReed шарить isn’t an equivalent of an English word share, шерить is. However, just as you mentioned, it is used rarely and mostly among teenagers

@@Deluxey I've never heard word шерить in my social circle (games/friends/college/job), шарить only. Perhaps it varies from place to place just like шаурма and шаверма.

Don't forget about word ша́ра (халява)

I would recommend finding KZfaq channels or videos on topics you enjoy in Russian. It’s definitely helped me since I have no one to practice with. There are also some language apps you can talk to natives. It’s a bit awkward but it can be fun.

How does it end in я?

Лич/лик/лиц is a root. Лицо - face/person, лик is archaic form Личный - personal Двуликий - two-faced Отличный от - unlikely, different. But without от it's good/nice/proper About разный/различный. Раз is a prefix, means like "apart". In разный the root is н (this is possible) but i can't catch the meaning. Различный - different/not likely, разный - different/other. Разные can be alike but differentiate in location, time, price etc.

Разный is also opposite.

"Я изучаю математику на русском языке." means:"I am studying mathematics in Russian". "Я изучаю математику по-русски" means: "I study mathematics just like a Russian person studying mathematics." Excuse me for my English.

1. Easy part. In Russian, you can omit a predicate or subject if it's obvious what is being discussed. 2. Hard part. We use "to be" as helper verb in future tenses only. So, sentences like "I am swimming" sound like "I swimming". 3. Mind blowing part. Articles just dont't exists in russian language. And we very very very rarely use such helper words which don't make sense on their own, except of prepositions and conjunctions. I suppose, missing or wrong articles is the most common mistake on english lessons in Russia (: Ok, it's example time! (I'm the ommited word.) {And I'm an untranslatable word} - Привет! Что (ты) делаешь? / Hi! What {are} (you) doing? - Привет! (Я) иду на работу. / Hi! (I) {am} walking to work. - (Ты) знаешь, где (находится) ближайший книжный магазин? / {Do} (you) know where {the} nearest book shop {is} (located)? - Конечно (я) знаю! Я работаю там. / Of course (I) know! I work there.

Нет, так как это будет звучать, будто ты выполняешь военную миссию. "I got it, general. I'll do it" Просто скажи "хорошо" или "ладно". Этого достаточно.

Correctly is покупа́ть. Also буду покупать - continios tense, куплю - perfect tense.

Well in Russian we use one-word form of Future Tense more often than two-words. For example, "куплю"(will buy), "сыграю" (will play) but "буду играть" (will play) is also correct

No, you can say "буду покупать", but it isnt "I'll buy", it's "I'll be buying" (action in process in the future)

@@olyaolsson Да пожалуйста, хоть 10 вариантов! Вариативность должна быть вовремя и по делу, и с моей точки зрения этот человек еще не совсем готов. На своем канале и Вы, и я можем сами решать, как и кого учить. У Федора же, предлагаю уже закрыть эту тему, если он конечно сам не придет и нас не "рассудит" ;)
