We hear from Peter Cooperman about past prints, Babak Zareiyan on the extruder head and reinforcements and Benjamin Kim on the pump. It's great to see the progress and experimentation they are doing to perfect their processes. It's no secret that this technology is improving rapidly and its awesome to get such deep insights on the process. Without trying new things and being willing to take risks there is no room for improvement. For a company to find the best mix parameters they need to experiment with dozens if not hundreds of combinations to optimize performance. There is always room for improvement and I would be wary of any company that declines to admit that. Black Buffalo has the right mentality for a tech startup willing to be nimble but also ready to make substantial investments in R&D. It will be incredible to see what they accomplish in the coming months.

I cannot tell you how much it means to me to hear a modern man call cement cement and to say that it has been around for so long. Thank you so much, I can now die in peace, but I do hope that I can live long enough to see you guys make a product that really works, is affordable, beautiful and has soft acoustics. Thank you.

He made some great points about issues you run into and the research and troubleshooting that comes with this technology. Its not negative, its just real. Great interview.

Yes these type of interview gives the picture not sales promotion ... we need the printing to work so buildings get built

First this is a great channel. The information you provide is very helpful. The concrete printer industry is in the trial and error phase and it's more of any art than science but great strides are happening which make is very exciting. It reminds me of when I got involved in the personal computer industry 40 years ago. Very exciting but no standards yet. Time will tell who comes out as a leader. Thanks Jarett!

the name of the game is going to be mixing multiple wet and dry materials close to the print head with fine controls, as well as what materials can be used which is a a very broad range. There is also tons of innovation potential in the area of functional design including running utilities, insulation, surface texture, integrated color, integrated waterproofing etc. The other area of competition is on portability. Having a machine that is easy to move around and set up is a massive advantage.

Your videos are always full of great information, but often some of it is lost because of the audio quality. mostly due to reverb from the microphone distance. It would be such a great improvement if you were to get a wireless lav mic for you and the person speaking.

I keep on seeing square houses being made with this concept. I want to see a round house with round rooms in the inside. This concrete printing should be able to make this simple and beautiful building. Curves to match the natural surroundings.

So how is this going to be used? Does this have its own plant or is the concrete coming from off site? Right now it looks like you would be better of slip forming or just using a pump truck.. plus I'd rather have rebar In the concrete.

does this cut back on carbon emissions cement puts out 8% I think

If you can decrease the amount of material used by printing instead of pouring by around 50% then the overall cement caused emissions would be lower printing.

I guess 3D concrete printed house process it is Engineering (science) plus Art. I cannot tell you how much is Science and how much is Art . From what I hear from these guys it seems that there is a lot of trial and error in the process and not already tried and proven methods and rules. But probably it will come to that because there are so many variables to the equation and it is hard to solve.
