Gluteal Muscles! IM Rocephin is VERY painful, so you need a bigger muscle. Check manufacturer's instructions and if able to, reconstitute with lidocaine to help with pain.

I have a question; I had an upper endoscopy and I was given 100 Micro grams of Fentanyl during the 20 minute procedure, and Doctor added Versed for anxiety. When I woke up from the sedation I had major dizziness, and Nausea, and headache as I wanted to throw up really bad when I was taken to my car as a passenger of course, but my question is was it the Fentanyl that caused the bad reaction? or was it the Versed? Just to next time so I don't ask for Versed again due to nervousness?

I was in a induced coma for 4 weeks I’ve never tripped out that much in my life. And now I know why. When I woke up I was completely certain I lived in a wooden house in the North Pole with the Coca Cola sign on the roof. Some of the dreams I had stay with me like real memories.

I am not a new nurse, but new to adult ICU and CCU. Twice I have experienced very odd behavior when patients have been on Precedex. At first I liked the drug because it helped people stay calm during Covid, but now I am not so sure it is a good idea to keep anyone on it for days.... My patients acted out and totally unable to get the to understand. However, when we stopped continuous IV Precedex, they suddenly remembered and realized where the were. It was like night and day. That it is why I am researching the ICU sedation drugs. Both these patients were getting Precedex and Robaxin maybe it is the combination?

Thank you so much … I will like to share with you my experience with ICUDelirium … oh wow… I was gunshot in my head and a bullet’s fragment broken my carotid artery …I died but I was resuscitated and then I was in I CU delirium for 12 day… I remember everything.
