Planning a playdate was hard! The Moms had to like each other, and so did the kids. It was like setting up a blind date and hoping for the best.

I know this is a joke and it's no judgment to either of these sweet woman at all - just a reminder to everyone that we get to decide for our families how much we pack our schedules. ♥️ Don't want every night to have something going on? Scale back the kids planned activities. Instead invite another friend family over and play a backyard game of soccer or flag football or have a dance party, etc. ♥️♥️

My friend in another state and I make plans to do an online game night every month, or sooner, so we get together often. She has 1 kid, I have 6. The struggle is real, but it’s wonderful to take time to catch up with her.

So, been there and done that. My words of advice are, you simply aren’t as busy as you think. It does not get easier, & it often gets harder. For us it got much harder. Every parent thinks they are soooo busy and sooo stressed with children. Little kids are easy, all the way to the 10th grade or so. Any idiot can take kids to the park, to practice, and make snacks. Get over yourselves. You don’t have to go to every single event. In fact, it’s unhealthy for you and the kids. 🛑
