A high quality review again. 10/10. Whatever cameral you're using's certainly doing the job. If Seestern have any sense, they'll send you a new clasp. It's a very tempting watch, but so many on my list it'll have to wait.

Great, highly detailed review! As far as the color difference between the head and the bracelet goes, they most likely got them from different suppliers. There was a hold up because of the bracelet, so I bet they switched at the last minute. Originally, it was supposed to come with an on the fly adjustable clasp. There are gaps between the links because the original P39 bracelet had those same gaps. Hopefully they will fix that clasp, and come out with a replacement. If you like the rest of the watch, that's hardly a deal breaker. People expect too much from a $250 fully titanium watch! Where else can you get those specs for that little amount of money?

Great review! I also wanted a Pelagos, but decided to go with the Octopus Oct-10 in Titaniium. I must say, I'm very impressed with everything about it, with one exception.... I like to wear my watches slightly snug, and the 3-hole clasp just doesn't span enough distance for me to get the proper fit. Apart from that, the clasp is fine. I must say, I think you're right about the hole on the Seestern being drilled too low. I stop-framed your vid on the clasp and compared it to mine (they appear to be otherwise identical), and sure enuf, the hole on mine is indeed higher, and there is no 'gap' as you have. Another [big] difference between the two is that the Oct-10 has thicker links (I measured them at 3.3mm), and, they are also shorter, as is the Tudor... most people wouldn't notice, but I like the thicker links, they just fit better on the wrist and make the watch look a little more substantial, IMO. The only thing I wish for is an on-the-fly adjustable clasp, or at the very least, a 4hole clasp with at least one half-link for us finnicky people! Either of these watches seem to be a great low-cost alternative to the Tudor, but if you don't like the clasp, I'd say buck-up a few more rubles and go for the Oct-10! Oh... and the Oct-10 is slightly smaller at the bezel... I measured 38.8 mm. Thanks again!

Been waiting for this review! Really hope they fix the bracelet/clasp in the v2, the bracelet production delay must have made them switch suppliers midway through. We definitely have the same taste. First the Casio S108D, now the Tudor P39/Sinn 556i grails. 🤣

Great review. I think you might wanna keep it, they messed up with the bracelet but it seems bang on with the case and the overall vibe. A quality titanium watch for sure. And it's a strap monster, just like the Pelagos. I don't wan't to make excuses for Seestern but I prefer it on nato in your video ;)

The difference in colour may be due to a difference in temperature during fabrication of the watch itself and the fabrication of the watch band. Titanium can take on many hues, like yellow, blue, green and purple and it is all depended on temperature. The band definitely looks more yellowish than the watch case. Which is a pity but not as annoying as that cave on the clasp. Nice review.

I was really excited to see a vid on this watch. When I saw it online I was thinking it would be perfect for me. But that gap on the clasp. Yeah, not sure about that.

Seestern should really round off the bracelet and case edges and fix the clasp gap in v2.

That gap on the clasp is the first thing I noticed. It's massive. The links should be tighter too and more rounded. It's quite disappointing and a deal breaker for me. I'll wait for version 2. Thanks for another great review. You deserve way more subscribers.

Speaking of Seestern, I just got my Sub 300 Homage (military dial) after failing to receive their 600t Homage. Too long of a story to get into the details, but I thought it was funny because it’s the opposite of what happened to you.

I was waiting for this one to come out. Thank you for the review. I've seen the video you mentioned, the guy said the bezel is loose. Is yours loose? If you tap it does it move? The clasp is a let down, they should've put a better clasp in general. And idk the coating, usually brands specify the hardness level. Can you check that with seestern as well. And dont get the wrong idea im a seestern fan! 😍

The bracelet / clasp gap is a show stopper

I am deciding between this watch in blue with ST2130 and the Seastern 37 and the Thorn Ti. Is there a compairison video between the 3?

I received mine last weekend, first impressions were great. Wore it a couple days and started to fall in love. Then I wore it on a bike ride, a dunk in the pool, and washed it off in the shower. All things I’ve done with my other Seestern and basically every “dive” watch in my collection, but this one fogged up on me. I am so disappointed! I’m going to reach out to Seestern tonight and see what they say, I know these watches aren’t ISO Certified, but this is ridiculous!

Are the markers true lume cast or the same as Octopus which are painted above white markers? I like my Octopus but the markers can be seen as 2 layers from the side. No effect on the lume itself though, still strong.

Received mine today and it has a second set of holes drilled higher up the clasp to lessen the gap. So it's clear it was originally a mistake. Makes it better but not perfect. Best to wait for a later version i think.

Seestern should design a star or sea star logo and take the name off the dial imo.

Having bought a premium Steinhardt recently with an underwhelming clasp the clasp on this Seestern is a deal breaker for me unless they fix it in version 2. It’s fine to replace the bracelet, the problem is you want to wear the titanium bracelet. What a shame! I do hope V2 is not too far away

There are plenty of great Pelagos replicas at $200US … the only downside is getting service down the road. Most techs do not want to mess with a clone, so you’re on your own if you but the true replica. Seestern/Sugess is somewhere in between as a legit stand-alone brand that produces homage style rather than carbon copied clones (using brand infringement).

I'm delighted I bought the Octopus Kraken version instead of this one. The bezel action, bracelet and clasp are much better on the OK than this one. Normally a fan of Seestern, but this is a disappointment.

Let us know what Seestern say. That's 2 for 2 today with the problem. Mine's on its way. Time will tell if it's 3 for 3.😢

I have to say, San Martin chose stainless steel for their homage for two good reasons. Simple grade 2 Titanium is a scratch magnet and arguably the bezel action on the San Martin is better. Besides, the bracelet with its gaps is a bit of an eye sore. For me the San Martin is the much better watch, sorry! 😬

Let me offer You some insights & tips regarding Oyster Bracelets. I own A Rolex Explorer 14270, a 25 Y.O. watch. The OysterLok bracelet it comes on, is flimsy, light, has big gaps between links & the exact SAME height-gap on the same side of the clasp. To replace that period Rolex Bracelet with a new one costs way north of €2,000! So what i have done with it is what i do with ALL my bracelets. Wear them back-to-front. I actually find in that position they are easier to deploy, AND, you don't SEE that unsightly gap & you don't get the hand-in-pocket snarl-up. You have to be realistic - that is a cheap watch & what Yr getting for Yr £€¥$$$ is nothing short if Astounding! Yr bracelet is better than my old Rolex OysterLok, Y'dig? Try my Frack-to-Bunt tip. Y'll LIKE it!!!
