I think it would have been helpful and appreciated if you had shown the entire watch on a bracelet or strap. Your video only provides part of the data for this watch.

Sorry, this was just meant to be a quick long term review of the dial and case. There’s a separate video on straps for the 4s15 in the playlist (that hopefully appeared in the beginning of the video).

What a great watch. I've been keeping an eye out for theses for several years, but if they do come up on eBay, they're quite expensive. Your previous video has been a great reference point. Thanks!

Oh and the dial... yes it's busy. For me, I quickly start to see distinct sections/sectors of the dial that my brain uses to keep it all straight. You've got the arabics, then the large marks at the quarters, then the individual minute mark, and finally the finer markings on the chapter ring. American-style field watches do the same thing for me - there's a lot going on, but it's organized well. And I'm the same - going back to a less busy dial doesn't feel right.

I collect and own some lovely vintage seiko that I do not wear to keep them in nice condition, I wear a Lorus sports 100 Kinetic with an arabic dial similar to the model you showacase, I have worn this swimming and in steam/sauna rooms for over a decade and it has kept perfect time, I have owned SUS models and could not get on with the squared off hour hand, but I would like to find the model you have and see how I like it at some point, great review BTW with superb observations only a true connoisseur would understand.

Very interesting piece indeed. I personally love the unpolished bezel. It gives a proper tool watch look. I love it, no gimmicks. Just you and the watch. ❤

Hard to believe this SUS 4S models and the original Alpinist 4S retail price were only $200 (Y30,000). Their current sports models w/ 28,800 bph are sold for well over $3,000.

The price difference will never cease to amaze me. It’s just a different world!

Great video thank you for sharing. Recently stumbled across the quartz re-release of these, and while the colours are nice, the red S and the minute track of these keeps enticing me! Would be interested to know if you've found a bracelet that fits these as that's the main thing holding me back (although I realise that even if the end links fit, the difference in finishes might look weird).

Thank you. I’ve tried a generic 18mm bracelet, but it never looked right. FWIW, I have a video in the playlist where I talk about straps for it.

@@InterestingWatches thank you for the response. Just rewatched the strap video and agree that the watch needs something that flares out to look right with those chunky lugs!
