Thanks, MR! People talk about knife“grinds” but never explain what they mean. That was perfect!

This is the type of content that differentiates your channel from all the others of this type. Clear, concise videos with a wide variety of content. Excellent video for sharing with beginners and intermediate preppers, plus even the more experienced folks have a beginning point for discussion with others

Dropped my chain saw off at the dealer for a tune up , they’re better at adjusting the carb properly , I asked them if the had any old bars , longer the better , in the back that I could have or buy , I’m going to make a Sword outta 1 , cut it out with the plasma cutter , and make a free Sword , not the quality of a $2000 sword , but Swords never run outta bullets ! Got a Sword ? I’ve got a few

On a side note. It’s good to wipe down and clean your keypad to your garage at times as your finger prints start to give away what your number is

I think the newer steels are much easier to sharpen. A2, s30. S20 a naniwa 400 or a lansky puck and a strop. 1095 gives me absolute fits

The best machete I ever had was from Brazil and cost about the same at the time.

@ModernRefugee I have a Ontario chopper machete and a Ontario survival airforce knife with the illegal double edge at the tip to go through a bullet proof vest, it also has a blood groove and ribbed handle for anti slip.

When I was looking for a "chopping" knife I ended up with Esee 5, primarily because of its performance advantage over Esee 6. The saber grind mid-line also acts as a very effective wedge when splitting wood, and Esee 5 also chopped better than Esee 6 in both freehand, and with a baton. So I bought Esee 5 first. I've seen a number of people who bought first one, then the other. I'll likely end up with an Esee 6, but it'll be after my next purchase, which is likely to be an Esee 3, which is a totally different knife entirely.

The 5 is a tank. I don’t think I could possibly ever break this knife.

Hi MR. Thanks for that great explanation. I have to admit i was laughing a bit. Your drawings are the view looking down the "barrel" of the blade but each knige you showed was a side length shot. There will probably be more than a few newbies who get confused by that...but it was a great explanation nonetheless. Hopefully, they'll be able to figure it out. Glad to see you looking more relaxed and less stressed out. Amazing what talking knives will do, isn't it?!!
