This has only been accomplished by Elvis, The Beatles, and Garth Brooks. Her posthumous crossover album, Dreaming of You, debuted atop the Billboard 200, making Selena the first Latin artist to accomplish this feat!

Yes, this is her song. I’m from Texas, and all of us still bump her music 25 years later. I attended the festival they have for her, and I kid you not, it’s as if she was there. It makes me happy that there are people out there (like you) who just let the music take over you. Even when you don’t know what she’s saying, you’re there dancing. Selena will forever live in the hearts of all of us here in Texas. She’s our Texan Queen!

Love Selena! Yes this is her song! The guitarist is her husband! She was soooo talented, her voice, her stage presence is phenomenal! This performance is also special because it's her last one and this is in Houston a couple of hours from where she was born and raised here in Tx.

Most of her songs were written by her brother the bassist. Her husband is the lead guitarist and her sister played drums.

The first part of the show, the disco part, were the only covers she did. The rest of the show was her and her band's own music, mostly written by her brother who is one of the guitar players.

When I was in high-school in Canada, I had never heard of Selena and there was a bunch of Salvadorean boys that had arrived from the States who always used to stare at me. They all played soccer with my brother so I assumed they knew about us even though they were younger than me. It wasn't until years later in my 30's that I found out that it was because I looked like Selena. I used to listen to punk music and had no clue.

Without Selena there would be no Jennifer Lopez as she was an unknown when she tried out among talent search of thousands and got the part for the Selena move released in 1997. She became an overnight sensation because of it. JLo spent time with her family before filming started and learned her dance moves from them. If she had lived I think she might have been as big a star as Taylor Swift as she was getting that popular and was just about to crossover into mainstream pop. Same as Taylor Swift did from country to the huge star she is today. Hope by now you have checked out the English translation for this song. It was written to be fun by her and her brother.
