Self-massage stimulates blood flow which enhances circulation and increases nourishment and oxygen to the muscles and tissues in the area, promoting their relaxation and healing.
You can practice self-massage anytime of day, but if you include it as part of your bedtime routine, it could improve your sleep quality by relaxing your body and mind.
