This video provides a demonstration of eight different recovery and self rescue scenarios for saddle hunters (and similar tree climbers) after loss of footing, including a scenario where the climber is stranded on a tether only. This demonstration is generic in nature and potentially applicable to any climbing method including stick climbing, one stick climbing, ladder climbing, etc. Climbers are urged to consider all failure modes associated with their unique climbing system and devise an optimal plan for recovery.
