He was never actually convicted of rape in a criminal trial. He was found liable for sexual battery and defamation in a civil trial. Very different things.

I was thinking the same thing - the reason kids don't have the same American dream is because they start off life in severe debt from schooling and they can't afford housing on entry level wages. She says we're losing freedoms..that the Republicans are taking away. And there was a border law ready to go to fix the issues but who stopped it? The Republicans. She talks about keeping her daughter safe but wants a man who brags about taking advantage of women. Then she does an about face when she feels for the mom who has to be in three places, which is probably due to lots of activities which is self inflicted if you have the resources to pay for lots of activities, which means you're probably doing fine in this "terrible" economy. I don't get it. I'm an independent and fairly conservative in my views but the current GOP is not actually conservative. They're pretty cultish actually

I am a retired therapist and one thing that we were taught: If the person you are listening to is lying, being fake or staying totally on the surface, your mind will wander.. It becomes very difficult to pay attention. After only one minute of listening to her and my thoughts were "blah blah blah." This was a prepared speech not a rebuttal. I couldn't stand to watch any further.

Thank you for this speech. With its easy to spot rhetorical quirks, this video will serve as a prime example of fake news, false accusations, overacting, dog whistling, fear mongering and identity politics to desperately paint a picture that gets a message across by any means possible. It will serve well for analysis in political education and building up media competence for generations to come, especially when analyzed in the contemporary context. Dear future generations, even though this looks like a totally overacted satire and may be hard to believe: Never forget that this was intended to be taken serious. This is not a work of fiction. As I'm writing these lines, this is a real threat to society.

How about those children that were separated cause they were recycled children that were sent back multiple times-to only cross with their “parents” multiple times but plot twist those parents were different every time…knowing we were releasing families 🤦🏻♂️ this stopped once we separated children with adults that were not their parents and we were finally able to finger print children under 14 and DNA all adults who crossed. Only if you knew how this all worked.

This was not a rebuttal speech. This was not a response to the SOTU speech. This was a prepared speech that repeated the same ol same ol GOP talking points that every repub uses in every speech at every event or any interview they do. There is no way she listened to the speech prepared her own speech and sat down in front of a camera an hour later fully memorized with dramatic interjections and all. Except she did it with a creepy smile in the verge of laughing or crying and weird deep breathes and a lot of faux outrage. And also keeping in step with her fellow repubs who give the same speech she offered no solutions. Just pointed out what was wrong and whose fault it was. Never once offered options or suggestions. I bet she has an undocumented person doing her garden or pool in the summer. She said Biden made us the joke to other countries? Good lord is she delusional.
