To slow down, I tell myself to enjoy it. Difficult but a good mantra when it comes to speaking and living.

Tons of valuable content in this video on how to be a more impactful speaker. It's easy to forget that your presence is being assessed the moment you walk into the room. Confidence (without attitude) goes a loooong way. Great reminders.

You're very welcome, MJ. Now that we are mostly virtual - I recommend recording yourself on Zoom. So convenient to practice! And you can truly watch "exactly" what the audience sees and hears.

So true! I've seen presenters lose their audience before they even made it to the podium just based on their body language (and conversely, presenters who captivate the audience before their presentation without having said a word yet!). Good tips for how to engage with the audience using physical and vocal cues.

This one is the hardest for me because when I get nervous, I forget to move my hands and my voice becomes monotone. Rehearsing these signals has really helped.
