I see that ZMF is now making Sennheiser replacement pads and also Beyerdynamic pads. The Pad Wars have begun!! PS- Besides Subscribing ... ya gotta hit that like Button on the videos too folks. It ALL helps the channel

I went with the elite velour for my HD6XX, and I agree with most people say online that vocal presence isn't as prevalent compared to the stock pads but the lows are boosted due to the tight knit. It really makes a solid gaming tuning for me personally. I'm def going to try out hybrid or fenestrated later on.

You can try a simple mod by removing outer foam. Improve Soundstage and trable. Have no idea about dust enter the driver. Seems petty save, have any thoughts??

i have tried the mod in a different video. Dust can enter the driver through the very small hole if you do not have the outer foam

That mod doesn’t actually change any sound, people have measured it on graphs. It’s more likely a placebo. However, if you cut some of that foam into a circle the size of the driver, and then use double sided tape to cover it (don’t cover the hole with the tape, just the foam because it has to breathe) then you will actually see improvements. The foam is only there to protect against dust.

what about Fenestrated one VS worn stock pads? Fenestrated still get brighter this round?

I just tried it with the original one, and the sound was dark to an unsatisfactory degree. Is this normal? I feel that the characters' voice is clearer than the background sounds, with an annoying difference in clarity

i have HD650 with stock pads. its dark for me. if i need more brighter more transparency and more treble and detail. Which model of upgrade pads do recommend for me ?

i would say just get new stock earpads for example the earpadz by dekoni, but keep in mind the hd650 is known to be a dark headphone in general
