The styling of the Pulsar is very sporty and attractive. I didn't realise that they were so roomy. A friend of mine changed a Mk6 Golf for a Fiat Bravo which was replaced by a Nissan Pulsar and he really loves the Pulsar. The preceding Almera was a very reliable and long lived car. It was almost as popular as the Toyota Corolla in the Irish Republic. One lady still runs a beautiful red 2005 Almera 1.5 SX Saloon, sadly the latest news is of immobilizer problems which could kill an otherwise immortal car.

I think that I know the sort of person this was aimed at... Sadly, the N14 Sunny as well as the N15 and N16 Almeras do seem a bit better than this. Rear space aside, I found this a bit disappointing, which was a shame, as I was really looking forward to driving it. Immobiliser problems seem to be killing off a lot of cars from the 2000s at the moment, sadly.

An excellent review Sir, been in a Pulsar once and as you say plenty of room in the back, would I own one? Think I would have a J11 Qashqai or another J10 over this.

I think, sir, that we would need to avoid the 1.2 Turbo engine, but apart from that, I don't see why not! The Pulsar is an interesting car, but ultimately it wasn't particularly successful.

Thank you! I had wanted to try one of these for years, but I ended up a bit less than impressed, sadly.

As my last car was a 2003 Nissan Almera (forbidden fuel - sorry! ) I was very interested to see this review. I quite like the dashboard design and the seats look alright. I can. The handbrake and sunglasses holder look like they were from the Almera. Most Pulsars I see tend to be in a solid red colour. Quite bold of Nissan to introduce this car. I thought that they already had the C sector car market covered with both the Note and the Qashqai. Notes took over the Almera N16 production line at Sunderland I understand.

Sir, you know the rules! I have been after one of these for review for many years. I was also intrigued by it, but ended up a little bit underwhelmed by it, although not nearly as much as some people when it was launched. That sounds about right, these were not built in Sunderland, but the second generation Note at least definitely was.

Saw a K Reg Almera today. This Pulsar reminds me a bit of them. Wasn't around long then with the SUV craze.
@lloydvehicleconsulting4 ай бұрын
Yes, very much a continuation of the old Sunny/Almera line. Not really much of a success for Nissan in Europe, despite their plan to sell these to people who didn't like the Juke or Qashqai.

@@lloydvehicleconsulting I don't like Jukes or Quasquis. Or any SUVs really.

Unfortunately, the manufacturers are increasingly offering fewer and fewer standard cars, sadly.

I’d forgotten about these , perfectly decent transport I guess.

Yes, absolutely, but I think that they could have been a fair bit better in some respects.

2017/14000 km, 1.2T n connecta, bought last year from France. Would be a great package if it wasn't for the useless wipe sensors and super firm suspension (17 in).

I think it's a rather handsome car, well equipped and rare from the norm of the Ford Focus.
@lloydvehicleconsulting4 ай бұрын
Yes, it is much less common than a Focus, and it certainly does have plenty of room inside. Thank you for watching again, sir!

Inoffensive and more than capable just desperately dull. Could see you struggling to find kind things to say about it. Thank you for sharing.

I think that something like a Skoda Rapid does this kind of thing better with a much wider choice of engines and trims, despite not being as plush inside. Not a bad car by any means, but I have driven so many better ones in this class.
