always take vacuum lines off with refrigerant fully in the lines if u take off before introducing refrigerant into the system when taken off the adapter it will suck in air if you do it the other way refrigerant will blow out of the Shrader when removing

DO NOT USE THREAD SEALANT!. Sorry to be so loud but I worked at refrigeration systems for 47 years and I know what I am talking about. The refrigerant metering device in any refrigeration system has a pin hole opening that will freeze and or simply plug solid if even a very small drop of this sealant gets into the system. This can can cause very major repair problems. If you feel the need to lubricated your flare fittings use only a small amount of refrigerant oil.

Do your research before jumping the gun. He’s using the right stuff, problem is when you over apply it. “NYLOG BLUE is synthetic ester oils fully compatible with all systems including those based on PVE oil, HFO refrigerants and CO2. I’m curious, if there was a potential leak that you detected, why did the vacuum hold so well?

Nobody seems to show how you run the signal cable through the grey conduit. The signal wire runs with the refrigerant lines so where do you all of a sudden transition to the grey conduit?

Confused about you cutting,flaring and vacuuming the lines. From what I read on their website, it says "These units come pre-charged with R410A refrigerant and include the necessary piping for installation and hook up" which to mean they are like Mr Cool units, just hook up, open valves and you're done. Thanks for vid!

Precharged is different than vacuumed. I have the same unit and you need to vacuum them.
@richieschmidt6225
@richieschmidt6225 8 ай бұрын
The refrigerant is self contained in the outdoor coil, NOT the lineset. So after plumbing your refrigerant lines and properly tightening the flares, and pulling a deep vacuum, you then open the outdoor unit to allow refrigerant to flow.

Amazing! my only question is since you shortened the lines, you did not account for less refrigerant. Is that a big deal or is it not enough of a change to have to worry about. This is going in my garage!

Woah? Heres a question. Thats a 115v unit. You have a disconnect wired for 220v. You had a black line, and a white (should be marked black or red tape on the white line as it is 120 volts). That power is going to the unit to the line/neutral and ground. Line (black or red) but your neutral is a white wire...the same white wire from the disconnect's power? That is def a mistake. The neutral should be spliced in the disconnect box, not, carrying power. Your send 120v thru the neutral to the load center which should be bonded to ground.....

It is correct. I believe that the 9000btu unit has 240v going to the compressor outside, then it runs a 120v back up to the indoor unit from the outside unit.

@wiley0714
@wiley0714 10 ай бұрын
Probably because he has a 240v disconnect going to a 120 unit. His wiring is wrong. A. If his white neutral line is carrying power, then it is carrying another 120 V through the disconnect through the neutral line on the unit or. B. He has a neutral running through the disconnects. (Line) and the neutral should just be spliced together, not running through the fuse in the disconnect....
