A first gen sequoia vs an r51 pathfinder I would chose the sequoia hands down. The added room and power alone make that choice easy. Honestly I love the look of my pathfinder over the sequoia but the sequoia I have simply is better to drive overall and completely destroys the pathfinder off road.

@@theclan4adventures Awesome. That was helpful. I was in the market for a Sequoia when I came across a super cheap with low miles Pathfinder. Thats what sent me on this search. Im glad I found your channel. In your opinion what makes the Sequoia the better off roader?

@@derekmilligan well without writing a book it comes down to the overall foot print of the vehicle (meaning wheelbase and track width) suspension travel ..clearance and the traction control system. From my experience the atrac system in the Toyota’s is better than the one found in the pathfinder. As long as you keep your foot off the brake and use throttle control. A first gen sequoia has a solid axle and link suspension giving it a huge advantage over the irs suspension found on the back of the r51 (2005-up) pathfinder. I’m not kidding when I say the sequoia can go through stuff in 2wd that other vehicles would need 4wd to go through with the same ease. I don’t have any footage but I can link a friend of mine’s sequoia and I’ll pull out some ramps today and make a quick poser video of my set up.
