like it but had purchased one before and have also a soldering station. What I do like about this is the nice solution as a kit useable on the field while my portable was delivered in a box. And I do like the display and menu too. What I do not like that much is the price and maybe struggle with customs on top. Too less added value to get one - but if price might drope things might change. I usually only need the small tip on the field, the other ones are for use on the bench where i already have a full soldering station. But I like such videos about small solutions that meets our requirements and that you are able to show in the garage. Hope, your new house will soon be ready to move in cause I can remember living out of boxes for 2 times. Worked out, but was also a big struggle.

I love my TS100 as a portable iron and this looks to be a bit more ergonomic with being a bit larger. Maybe I missed something.. but what is the purpose of the longer tips? They locate in the iron much deeper and so end up not being much longer.

I have been using a TS100 exclusively for over a year and it takes T12 tips with no issue. They just stick out a bit further. And no need to swap components in the iron to switch between T12 and standard sequre or TS100 tips.

The fact that it uses t12 is just golden. The miniware tips are good too but you only have one size of chisel tip which is also too big for an everyday iron. The vast selection of t12 tips makes this the best of the mini irons out there in my opinion! Plus it's 65w pd compatible which means you can use it with a portable battery. This makes it perfect compared to the miniware irons and the only thing that really was missing from those irons was a lack of tips now you have a much better selection of tips available.

Hello Can someone tell me why it shows firmware update when I put my other non origin 120w USB a to c cable in the soldering iron, is the a function that it goes to solder mode instead, with my origin cable it works normal,but I would like to have other options on cables beside the original. 🤔

The popularity and cheapness of long tip, convenient purchase and ordinary heating back. The cost of short tip is higher, and the temperature rise and temperature return are good.

ew, why didn't you soak the wire ends completely? :) do you know if it's ok to install both contacts and use the long tips? or does that create a short circuit over the casing of the long tips? i think i'll buy this one

With a long tip, if you install the front copper piece, the soldering iron will recognize the short circuit, and will warn and prohibit heating. The front end needs to be disassembled for proper operation.
