People forget how fucking amazing Konta was playing this tournament - if it hadn't been for Serena then 100% Konta was winning this tourney. I saw her in person and the freaking precision with which she was playing was absolutely absurd

No they didn’t play doubles that year. Their last time winning a doubles Slam was Wimbledon 2016

One thing I’ve never noticed until this compilation is Serena didn’t wear the black leggings/capris in any round except the first. I wonder why? And my that dress was actually quite short 😂 or long for her standards? Legs looked amazing but I recognize she likes compression for health reasons (plus she was pregnant), although maybe 1st round was also just a particularly hot/sunny day? Also LOVE the all Black shoes here

Olympia is the only baby with a Grand Slam title She's made Serena a kinder gentler Serena the intimidation factor is gone and while she's shooting for 24 she can't just play Grand Slams like she use to she has to play some lead in tourneys for different surfaces and her soft tissue injuries linger longer

What's so irritating about playing Serena is that extra shot that she makes you have to take. That's why when players were asked (early on when both Williams' sisters were killing it), which sister would you rather play, they all said Venus because they said Serena was too unpredictable and all over the place.

she would've won a lot more, remember coming back from maternity, she have been in 4 finals, and the AO QF when she rolled her ankle, this AO against OSAKA, she defi would've have about 6 more.........damn, that would've been like 30 GS

How do you know? Even if she doesn't get her 24 title, I believe she has achieved so much in tennis that she does not need to prove herself anymore.
