There haven't been many tenor posts lately, which I miss a lot, so this is great to see! Sergio does a heartfelt and lovely rendition of this song which comes from the musical, "Kismet", adapted from a classical melody composed by Alexander Borodin. Sergio sang this song in 1962 on Sunday Night at the London Palladium and was discovered by Norman Luboff on the occasion. He also sang it on an earlier Ed Sullivan episode, which has also been posted. Always love to see Sergio, and other tenors! Thank you!

I remember watching him when I was a little girl. I didn't quite understand it but just that his voice was beautiful when I thought he was handsome and I remember one time it was singing, and my mother was asleep. And she said well, that man's voice woke me up. It was that powerful and beautiful😊😊

...so then...at 11years old at this show broadcast...I would not know what to make of this...being then educated from the hit rock roll tunes on the radio...such as Jimi Hendrix second album...'axis : bold as love' ...which had just been released Jan. 1968...of course it wasn't for another year or more until a skool friend "turned me on" to Jimi...same amigo who 2 or 3 years later introduced me to the controversial experience of an l.s.d.
