Very easy. Because half of the fouls were not really as hard as the Barcelona players made them believe. They pretended a lot so that the referees expelled the Madrid players, in each foul. And this protectionism of the referees towards Barcelona at that time had the opposite effect on the rivals, who used more harshness when facing Barcelona. In the famous play between Pepe and Alves, the Madrid player does not even touch Alves, you can see it clearly. Pepe is sent off and it is curious that a minute later Alves continues playing without any problem, when if that foul were real, it would have sent him to the hospital.

They are a centerback duo. In a 4-3-3 formation you have four defenders: a leftback, Two Centerbacks (Ramos & Pepe) and a rightback. In front of the four defenders you have three midfielders, finally in front of the three midfielders you have three attackers: usually left wing, striker, and right wing. Ronaldo played as a left winger and striker while Messi played as a Right winger.

I think there are some English clubs from the 70's and 80's that make these 2 look a little mild. Sure Ramos is better than all of them, but the defenders in 60's 70's and 80's were BRUTAL. Like they would snap your ankle on purpose (and sometimes not even get booked)
