I remember when I was 17, you held a concert in Armenia with SOAD and it was a free and open concert for everyone. I was fully prepared to travel from my small town in Iran and see you in person. I couldn't because my cousin was murdered a few days before the concert. I'm 25 y.o. now and still sad about missing it. Still mad about it. But I'm sure I will come to your concert one day and see you at last. Love you even more now from Iran, the land of the Great Rumi ❤️❤️

its because alot of artists start out doing their own style, then get big and other people start making the music for them and decisions for them. At that point the artist has lost their original self and then years later they lose those big companies and have to do things on their own again and the music wont have that same personality to it ever again. those companies legitimately drain those artists souls from them.

Eleven months ago my wife and I named our son Rumi after the poet. Yesterday I stumbled onto this song, and it was funny to see that my little buddy enjoys the song as much as I do (granted, to him it is probably because it mentions his name)

@Railqun Focus on developing your own self and your own moral code. No need for a one-size-fit-all moral code that come from a book written a thousand years ago. Be happy, let other people be happy. That "whore" has chosen her own lifestyle and is experiencing life like as we all do. Tough to judge from outside. Respect the difference in others. Knowing our own values help evaluate the entourage and the life you want. The revelation doesn't come from God or some supernatural stuff, but from learning who you are. Who you are will dictate what you want.

hes still an INCREDIBLE singer. I think those people are talking about his 'growls and screaming' parts in songs. Stuff like that damages your voice over time. I still love the way he sings those parts, some people are just very picky. and they want him to sing the exact way after like 20+ years, voices change!

There is nothing more powerful and deep than somebody telling their child that they are the universe to them - I never had a chance to be a father though I've been married for nearly 25 years we couldn't have children but it doesn't change the fact that our children are the future and must be nurtured and protected from this cruel crime filled world with knowledge and pure unadulterated LOVE

brooo me too im steaming tears down my face!!! this world has smashed me down so much this month and all i do is help others i make cancer medicines for free for people who have cancer it is 100% effective and no one will help me doctors wont because they cant make money from it , i wish i could keep going

@@Blooppenheimer According to Wikipedia He was born in Balkh which is in Afghanistan nowadays and he died in Konya which is in Turkey now. I guess in that era both Afghanistan and Turkey were part of Iran but I'm not sure. He writes his poems in Persian but he has some poems in other languages.

,Ну, насчёт религии да: Серж сам верующий (Он боготворит мать Природу), но он ведь сам к этому пришел, это его мировоззрение,а не то,что навязали люди с книжками.Я узнала о вере Сержа из одного интервью. Этот факт мало-кто знает потому, что Серж никогда не кричал об этом всем подряд. Вера-это то,что должно оставаться при тебе. А навязывание только порождает конфликты, а потом уже и войны:( Ну я думаю так.)

I would like to add a comment. I have know Serj's music for many years now. I always though that System was the best music he had made. But honestly thought , he is just fucking unbelievable talented. The little touch of Armenian sounds in this album with the fusion of rock in addition to his System voice. В одном из интервью Серж говорил, что слово "бог" скомпроментировано многими религиями(даже людей порой называют бог чего-то или богиня!) и поэтому ему больше нравится слово "Творец", которое больше передаёт суть Всевышнего. То есть в этой песне под словами "Держись дальше от бога" подразумеваются традиционные религии
