In this episode we service my good friends 1.2 Volkswagen polo. Hope this helps someone looking to service their own VW polo!

There are a few engine types of 1.2 Polo 9N3, that is the BBM 3 cylinder 6v engine, the 12v engine has a totally different air filter housing but the oil drain is in same place. Oil filters differ also, my top tip is to carefully check visually that you have the correct oil filter before draining the oil! Actually the 12v 1.2 is a nicer engine than the 6v, I have owned both.

You don't need to level the car :)) The cap is located expecially on the back in order to empty the oil bath with the car inclined . Use logic, people ! :))

Ive changed the oil on mine on a slight slope a couple of times, it seems to drain OK. However you really do need to have the front of the car raised a bit to reach that oil drain as its at the back of the engine.

Be careful when you are undoing oil filter housing. Sometimes oil get stuck there and the alternator below gets an unwanted oil shower

Amigo tenho um polo igual, e tenho um problema, se eu fizer uma condução mais desportiva a rotação demora a baixar, não é directa...fica acelerado...mas não tenho erros na central🤔 será o sensor de rotação?...

What about the same car eating oil (not leaking) and what if inplaced oil and it was a slightly above the max? (Anyways the car is burning\eating it

Hello. can i have a question Where is the pump for the windshield and rear windshield washers located? wv polo 1.4 2008 9N. I changed the winter compound and it doesn't deglaze my windows, I can hear the engine buzzing. Can you help me?

If my memory is correct I think the engine capacity is 2.8 litres if it’s the same 1.2 petrol engine. Thanks for watching

My VW Polo is EA 111 1.6 8V 2007 engine totally different from this one 😅 Ethanol/Gasoline flex version. Of course my Brazilian version

Hello..What is the engine mileage? My engine mileage is 232000km . What engine oil do you recommend please. Please note that minimum temperature record in my country is 12 degrees and max 38. Thank you.

I don’t think is a 1.2 engine. Polo Classic has 1.4, 1.6,2.0 and 1.9Tdi

Hi, I have checked the Haynes manual and found that it depends on which engine you have. On the 1.2 engine code AWY remove the engine top cover and the fuel pressure regulator should be connected to the vacuum hose. On all other engines the fuel pressure regulator is secured to the fuel filter by a large spring clip. Hope this helps
