Had a lot of problems setting up. Put in a ticket for help. Someone from Neptune Tech Support called me to walk me through it - so got this done. Glad to get the help. They gave me contact info for setting up other parts like the dosing, auto feeder, WAV, etc.

I just got my Apex this evening and followed these step by step instructions. I was literally up running within 12 minutes. I am currently using AOS Version 5.05 6B19. I couldn't fault Fusion at all I was feeling a bit nervous after reading all the previous negative comments. I Can only tell you my experience which has been a very positive one thus far.

Hi do the calibration fluids need to be floated in tank first before calibration?

Curious if the assigned outlets on the EB-832 can be moved around within Fusion. For example: in the video it shows that the top left outlet is pre-configured to power the aquarium light...could that configuration be moved to another outlet?

You should include instructions on which probes need to have the rubber removed from the tips and which don't.

Hi mate may I ask you a question please I am in Australia and all the Apex equipment is very expensive here the new Apex controller alone retails for $1,600 plus, so if I was to purchase the main Apex controller do the other add-ons like the DOS and DDR and ATO etc need to be powered from a wall power outlet or can I power them from the main Apex unit? as here in Australia, we are on 240v but if I get the main Apex controller here I am thinking I could order units like DOS and DDR etc from the US much cheaper if they can be powered from the main Apex? if that makes sense? hope you can help me? cheers Mat

help please im new to the neptune systems and in trying to connect 2 Mp 40's to one outle (by using a spliter) and sinking both of the pumps to wxm. i was able to connect one pump and i see it on my dashboard now. the secomd pump is blinking white,red and blue and when i press and hold the set button to attach it nothing happens it just stays blinking the same white, red and blue. do each MP40 need their own outlet in order to attach to wxm or can i have them both pluged in the same outlet by using a spliter?

Lol!!!!! Took me 3 hours to get thru connecting it to my network. Ended up doing it from my iPhone standing right next to it. Don't get me wrong I love being able sit at work and see my tank temp skyrocket due to the heat wave we're having.

I've calibrated the salinity probe twice and its still reading incorrectly.. initially it read 44 then after a few hours it dropped to 29.. its been a few days since I've had the controller and the salinity is still reading at 27. I'm going to give it a few more days before I attempt to once again calibrate before I call.

It has been a nightmare trying to get this new Apex connected to my network while trying to upgrade from my Apex classic. After spending several hours of trying all sorts of different devices and methods, I give up. It's now past 1am but I cannot go to sleep since I am trying to get my Apex classic back up and running and it is acting very crazy. It's not even following the Apex programming and won't respond to anything I try to do through fusion.

Not compatibility with android. Can't access locally with my S7 edge. Followed the "getting started guide" and it's not working.

I'm working on my 4th go of getting the salinity probe properly calibrated and afraid to try the ph probe with the issues I've been having this is not a 15min set up EVER!!! I love the part when he says "I'm gonna treat this like I'm new to apex...probe set up is easy! Click here then here and press Salt! The PH probe is the same Click here then here and its basically the same as the salinity probe..." Best setup video on the market!

It's too bad it took this long to release this video. I have had my system for months and there was no online manual or video for setting it up and it took days and alot of calls to Neptune (who is very unresponsive) to get set up. This video would have been a huge help and would have saved alot of time!!!

I paid over 1000.00 for this and have spent several hours trying to connect to my home network. Attempts only give me timeouts. When we pay this much for something it should be plug and play. Ill be returning this.

Samsung Galaxy S9 - to connect I had to go to settings on my phone, Connections, Wi-Fi, click on the Apex network, then click Manage ????. Then I was able to choose my home network. I forget what the word beside Manage was but there is only one option with the word Manage in it. I hope this helps someone out there. You have to be patient. Then, I had to go to my PC and look at my router to see the device IP address. It gets a new IP once it is connected to my router. I used that IP address to connect to the APEX. 192.234.0.3/login Couldn't do it otherwise. From there, the rest of the instructions seemed dead on.

I keep wanting to get one because I know it's an amazing piece of equipment, but I cannot get past the fact they designed the controller and wifi thingy to look so blasted ugly. It looks like an orange and grey cheap piece of plastic. Is there anyway to use it without it being seen? I mean really, where can you put it so it's not so distracting so people don't walk into your beautiful aquarium room and one eye is looking at the pretty fish talk, while the other eye is getting pulled against its will across the room another direction and thinking, "Wtf is that ugly orange and grey looking BS?" It would literally stick out like a turd on a church pew on Easter Sunday Morning if it were in my aqua room. With all the time and money we spend on multiple aquarium equipment, set ups and building a custom room to look nice, who wants this cheap looking plastic thingy doodoodad being seen? Does it match anything anyone would have? How about making the next one look as hi-tech as it "is" and "costs", perhaps make it look like something someone might want to be proud to have hanging on the wall. I'll have to install mine with those parts hiding behind a closed door like many others have done.

Hey you guys design apex fusion how come is that you guys have listed that we can use Instagram and flicks and Dropbox to copy pictures and videos on our apex but it doesn’t work at all is there a easy way just to get these pic on there with out so much complications my god what a complicated system

Great piece of equipment when it works. I've had nothing but issues with this. And easy setup? That's a joke. Very expensive to not be plug and play.

4 hours later and stupid thing wont recognize my wifi. lists different wifi networks with every refresh. has only a limited amount it will pick up at a time. software issues.

Maybe this worked 4 years ago but it doesn't work now. As soon as you connect to the apex the iphone disconnects from wifi and thats the end of your set up. Way too little information and no trouble shooting if it doesn't work. Very disappointing.

What is difficult is keeping your apex connected to fusion reliably. Every time i update firmware it is a roll of the dice whether I can stay connected to fusion. Right now I get frequent disconnects. Very unreliable. Also getting some decent customer service from anyone in this company is nearly impossible. Lol. Just checked my apex once again it is disconnected. Wow.

Uh, no! I am an Apex newbie, and already love it but this video is one of the worst I have seen from this or any other Marine Aquarium company. Remember the beginning where he says I am going to do this like I don't know anything about Apex? How about for the probes..."connect here (where?), push there (which?), push this button to calibrate and follow the directions (directions? really?...like "Dry probe" Okay is it a dry probe? Do I dry the probe? Was I supposed to get it wet so that I can dry the probe? Wet with what? The test solution?..." And it goes on and on. For sure, the Apex and Apex Fusion are not designed by people who speak to inexperienced anybodies, the ones who write the instructions and design the equipment are not teachers. That being said, once you know their language and once you figure out that there is more than the information that they present you, it is a really cool system.

Hey, where's the part in this video that explains what to do when the support staff is at least a week away from getting back in touch with you or how to receive a generic trouble shooting guide and only then will they consider a customer service call? Maybe you can make a video about how to ship your parts in when you received a defective item? Most companies would elect to send a replacement part and a box to ship the defective item back. A few weeks turnaround on something vital to your reef. Explain to consumers that although it's under warranty after 30 days customers will need to pay to have it shipped in (over 20$ UPS from Florida) this money is not refunded. NBD I already spent almost $2,000 on my Apex set up. I wish there were alternatives, I really regret this purchase.

If I use photo bucket it work fine copy pictures but I don’t want to use photo bucket I should be able to copy pictures on there with no problem with out having to buy a program to copy pictures on there the apex it self was expensive it should be much easier to work this thing you guys call apex is so complicated

Apex WIFI is junk, I NEVER disconnected with fusion with my Apex Jr. I wish I never "upgraded" Yes same exact equipment from Comcast with Jr and New one and the game adapter and Jr Never Disconnected. Had a phone call they were about 30min late for, could not seem to get connected to my controller even when I was connected directly to the controller on my laptop. rushed to get off the phone 20-25 min and they said the display was the problem they said. Well I send the display to them they "updated" the firmware even though he confirmed it was updated over the phone. I still haven't plugged it in because the controller can not stay connected. AS I AM WRITING THE CONTROLLER JUST RESTARTED ON ITS OWN. My girlfriend says it happens often during the week but its Comcast equipment that is the problem. After my call my controller worked worse then before the call. I send an email and the excuse that they only had 2 people one was given and I had to wait for another phone appointment the following Wednesday after staying home for this one. then they actually asked me to tell them how I fixed it so they could have the notes !! Its not fixed I wish I never upgraded. WIsh I waited and let them work the bugs out and get it working. I ran and cable from the Comcast modem outer and now cant find Neptune directions to run this hardwired. Love spending 800 for no display and when you email them they tell you to go to the forums which are outdated and no way of knowing if these people have the new Apex or the classic or read what one person says then have someone else say that will fry the controller. Paid top dollar and wish I stayed with the Jr.

Those fish are really slow

This controller is possibly the hardest fucking thing I have ever tried to connect to. Their setup process is garbage and none of the links on the website work at all. I have been trying all day and ripping my hair out in the process.

The problem with this is that it not easy and and it is frustrating because he keeps saying it is. They would be better off to just be honest and say it’s complicated and that you have to exercise a lot of patience.

Good video. People amaze me saying this is hard. It literally takes plugging ONE cable in the controller and the power bar. ONE cable people. Then open the APEX Fusion app on your phone and go through setup. It couldn't be easier. You people would think you were on the moon if you had to write the code to control lights, etc. on the classic version 🤣. Read and watch people, it isn't rocket science. If you can setup a Reef tank and mix salt, you should be able to do this no problem.

This is crap Neptune I spent over 1k on this apex setup and I don't even get a manual which is fine if your online guide was worth its two cents, but instead I get sent from here to there then back to here to link this and that then all of a sudden I'm done..... but wait I have some probes that are still in the box.... After digging around and doing some searching I find this video and all you do to touch on the calibration is say that I auto calibrate (no example you don't actually show me what that's suppose to look like). Guess what my auto calibrate just stays stuck on step 3 never calibrating and eventually timing out. It would be nice if I had some kind of manual or some troubleshooting tips that are easily accessible like I would get from a $5 special made in China electronic device. But instead I've spent the better part of half the day trying to get this thing going and I still have my Trident to set up. Looks like I'm headed back online to do a bunch of research to figure out how your product works. Edit: Found the videos I needed on BRS. All in all this system might not be as plug and play as it should be and Neptune could definitely do a better job with the set up documentation, but when you see that cal/mag/alk test results just magically appear, sigh... it was all worth it :)
