In this video we set up an honesty stall at the bottom of our driveway. We get a bit of through traffic, both vehicles and people on foot (and the occasional horse-rider!), and so we thought it would be a good idea to set up an honesty stall to share our produce from the land and make a little bit of an income.
All of the items for sale are produced here on the land in a non-exploitative way. Living with the land and her inhabitants is a priority for us, and so we only take what we need and leave the rest. At the moment, we have some mint plants for sale, as well as some craft items made by Marie and Emmie: some wet-felted bookmarks, a needle-felted gnome and some greetings cards printed from photographs taken on the land while the Bluebells were out in flower.
In the future, we hope to be able to stock the stall with more plants, eggs from our free-ranging pet chickens, seeds, home-grown and blended herbal teas, wet-felted and needle-felted items, eco home products (such as beeswax wraps, re-usable cotton bags, re-useable tea bags, cotton bread bags etc), home-baked goods, jams and chutneys, and anything else that we can produce whilst living lightly here on the earth.
We moved here to Wales on the Summer Solstice of 2019 from North London. Together as a family, we aim to live in harmony with nature, renovating an old stone cottage and maintaining the ancient bluebell woodland. We live a simple, frugal life; mortgage-free and happy!
