Hello I wanted to ask a question, does Yaesu FT3D/2D broadcast (108,136 mHZ) on airband? I am interested to be used RPAS, thanks.

No it won't. You can modify it to work in some air and but definitely not on fm broadcast

Hi, can you recommend this radio for analog VHF simplex ? is it superheterodyne?

Recommending a radio is challenging for you need to consider budget, you needs, what features you are looking at. I would recommend you speak to someone who sells these radios. On that note, this radio has very nice features which you can read up on, but it's not inexpensive. There are other radios that are better priced and has 1/2 of it's features. As for your second question, it is. Check the marketing material: at www.yaesu.com.

@@frankwc0o hi thank you for your answer ,ive contacted dealers in my area but no response to technical questions, so i hope to get some answers from people Who have some experience with it. I am looking for a dual band radio for analog vhf communication, airband (8.33 khz aviation) reception on the seconden channel. I like the fast scanning capabilities of the ft3d and the scope and gps features. But i need to be sure i am not buying an expensive direct conversion baofeng quality. When looking at the tech specs :Circuit Type: NFM/ AM:Double-Conversion Superheterodyne FM /AM Radio: Direct-Conversion. So i am not sure vhf is double superheterodyne.. ?

None of that was necessary. just touch and hold the frequency on the screen and, on the screen that pops up, enter your frequency (usually 146.520). Then press the Back button. You're already in FM mode and the radio is smart enough from there. It isn't going to use tones unless you tell it to.

Very true. But put yourself or change your mindset as someone who doesn't know anything about Simplex, VFO, or repeaters. When I used FRS radios, it was easy, just talk. On these sophisticated radios, there are so many settings that it's overwhelming at first when you start and then people get frustrated and just feel it's impossible to use - well for some people - like me. Thus the video to help those with questions.

You need to turn your volume up nobody can really hear you that good your volume is too low

Really? All I did was set the radio to a valid simplex frequency, you don't have to go through all that at least I didn't, if you're getting the off set then you're not on a simplex frequency.

@@frankwc0o you should do a Google for band allocation in your area for 2m, so you'll know what frequencies are for simplex, if a + or - appears when you put a frequency in then its most likely a repeater frequency. Take your time watch a lot of how to videos, PS nice radio I just mine had to retire my older radios batteries are dying and can't get them anymore,
