A life-shattering secret torments Ben Thomas (Will Smith). In order to find redemption, he sets out to change the lives of seven strangers. Over the course of his journey, he meets and falls in love with a cardiac patient named Emily (Rosario Dawson), and in so doing, complicates his mission.

@sams9732 hey mate, nothing personal but don't assume to have any idea what you're talking about. By the end my grandmother couldn't walk unassisted, her emphysema was giving her life threatening attacks and honestly if she was unattended for even an hour it was dangerous. I work on the mines now but visited her every day while I was back home and my mother visited her every day without fail. She was very loved by all of us.

Totally. I think the bigger issue is that a lot of people dump their relatives into places like this and they just don’t bother to check on them, and when they do, they don’t listen to them because loved ones assume they’re exaggerating or senile. There are plenty of places that care for the elderly that are great and they’re treated perfectly well, but that’s why you have to keep an eye out because stuff like this happens

Idk if anybody noticed but when she opened her mouth, when she moved her arms, she let out a stanch that made him understand why he’s punishing her. Because she’s stinking up the place in front of people. This is a very powerful scene where dialogue is muted and we get to see behind everything but the dialogue. Absolutely beautiful.

That’s definitely not it. What’s being alluded to here is that she’s being denied basic rights like hygiene as punishment, potentially for things like having accidents. They essentially go “okay well if you aren’t going to behave, then you can just sit here until we feel you can.”

Can someone please explain what happened in this scene? The old lady wrote “he’s punishing me” and what does that mean? Is he giving her some wrong medicine or he lays his hand on these elderly females?

My guess would be, since she's pretty old, that she suffers from incontinence. And when she pees or number 2's herself, that he/they dont clean her and just let her sit in it as "punishment". That would be my guess. I haven't seen the movie.
