Hello and thanks to everyone who's subscribed and commented on the videos over the last few months - I read and appreciate all comments!
Over the past few weeks I've been back to working on scenery on the layout, after a prolonged period of rolling stock projects. The focus has been on recreating the huge BT office building, which sits at the northern end of the station, on the other side of the London Road bridge. Anyone who knows the station will have seen this large glass fronted building looming over the tracks.
The reason I chose to work on this particularly is that there's a lot of work that needs to be done on the boards in front of the building, and in the area where the main lines diverge. I couldn't do any of that until this building was completed, otherwise I'd be reaching over it and damaging things all the time. So hopefully now it's in, work can start on some of the other areas nearer to the front of the baseboards.
It's not been all scenery though - I did acquire a new Class 67 in the Belmond British Pullman livery, which can be seen trundling past on the Otford branch here. I thought the table lamps of the pullman coaches made quite a nice scene with the office building in the background!
