Smashing mod on the Eurostar would you mind doing a video in the future of how you achieved it? Looking forward to more content

Thanks! It's not one of the most reliable runners I have to say. This mod was using power cars at both ends, both with the same DCC address. Lighting is from Express models. In the future I think I will be looking at adding an additional power bogie to the front power car and removing the traction tyres, which hopefully will make the whole thing a bit more stable!

Hi, just found your channel and your BT building is awesome. Did you make a video showing how you constructed it, I'm build and modern image layout and it's not often one comes across modern glass buildings, it's really impressive. I've also subscribed so hope to see more. Thanks you.

Thanks Mike, appreciate the kind comments about the building. I didn't make a video specifically about the build process in this case I'm afraid, although I can go into a bit of detail about how it was done. The front glass bit is basically 5 separate sections of clear acrylic, which were then attached to a framework of MDF floor plates. The window framing is made by attaching microstrip to the acrylic panels, using a printed template behind to keep everything lined up. I printed out textured backscenes to attach to the back of the panels using spray adhesive, which is what you see when the lights are on! Hope this helps a bit. Thanks again for the kind comments!

Back in the day before Hs1 was built. I remember the track being lowered at Tonbridge on the up fast and down fast portals because the Eurostar was that bit more higher sitting on the tracks, as clearance was tight for the normal stock. You can still see the dip in the tracks to this day but unfortunately not the Eurostar lol. Nice video cheers. Brings back some good memories 👍

A surreal ride around a strange railway with no passengers waiting at the station. To get more the effect you are after I think I would purchase some spot lights trained on the location you are videoing and switch off the lighting under the shelving. I have found that hanging a shower curtain up on a bamboo stick taken from the bean row is a good way to disguise the shelves! You can get a plain blue shower curtain, or maybe one with clouds? Thanks for uploading.

How where the fronts made. I'm starting a diesel depot for the early 2000's. It has a railway line running beside and I'm wondering how to get/build a class 465
@sevenoaksOO
@sevenoaksOO 10 ай бұрын
The fronts are just the original fronts that came with the model. I've added anti-surf covers on top of the buffer beam which were just bits of plasticard filed to the right shape. The unit itself was built with spare chassis and bodyshell parts that I found on ebay many years ago.

Nice video, great set up youve got underway, are you on twitter / instagram to add to the third rail legends of NSE latchmere & #variousmultipleunits ? I do the 25kv , but i have to say i always enjoy 3rd rail, have to blame Paul Wade & his epics , of showcasing the everyday workhorses the manufacturers wouldnt touch with a barge pole & his pannache / skill building the mtk kits.
