I usually leave the sewing machine needle down into the fabric when I pull the pins out. It helps to keep the fabric in place.

Love that nail polish!! Could you also glue-baste instead of using all those pins? I'm wondering how well that might work.

The sewing part is the easiest part of doing this and that’s all this video covers, really. It totally skipped how to cut and align the two pieces of fabric. Not a very good video, unfortunately.
