MY LOVE FOR AUTUMN WILL NOT BE STOPPED, even if I sweat a ridiculous amount while filming these reveals, hahahaha.
It is approaching my favorite time of the year!! So naturally, that means I have to make some cute clothes and ADD to my already-earth-toned wardrobe.
Happy September!!

A neat tip that an associate at a fabric store taught me: Every two wraps around the bolt is approximately one yard (for most fabrics). That way, if you need a lot of yardage, but don't want to take it off the bolt to see how much is left, you can get an estimate!

I love secret pants. What I love more than secret pants, is sailor shorts, they are shorts that look like a mini skirt. I never cut pattern pieces out anymore I trace them over with baking paper. that way if I make a mistake I didn't ruin the pattern piece, and it's easy to find because it's on a sheet of paper in its own envelope with pictures and labels and everything. And it's also a lot easier to cut out. Ps. I now want to use those sleeves on a suit jacket I will soon be making. Just with added room for three large pleats on the shoulder. Thank you, now I know what to look for.

To further your fit knowledge, I highly recommend the Fancy Tiger Crafts tutorial on a full bust adjustment (this will solve a lot of your blouse fit issues!) and any of the Palmer/Pletsch books in the Fit for Real People series. Really great tools for learning how to adjust patterns. If you are ever interested in learning more about the apparel industry or patternmaking in general, I’m happy to answer any questions! When I say I *snorted* at “dis bitch looks like me”- ALSO POD RECS YAY!! -Radio Rental (which I found through MFM) is really good if you like spooky stories -The Black Tapes is another good spooky podcast but it’s fictional and ended a few years ago after 3 seasons -The Art History Babes is great if you love that “badass ladies having casual discussions” but over art rather than true crime. (There is a lot of true crime in art tho lmao) - for the typical “interview podcast hosted by a celebrity” genre, I’d rec David Tennant Does A Podcast With, Clear and Vivid With Alan Alda, and Science Rules With Bill Nye. - if you’re wanting more of Karen from MFM, Do You Need A Ride with her and Chris Fairbanks is fun easy listening. -The Bright Sessions was an audio drama about people with super powers in therapy. (I have no idea why but I think you’d really enjoy this one it’s campy but sweet and seems up your alley. Also, I always kind of visually cast you as Sam oops lol) Okay sorry for the info dump
