You can not tell me that the Government of Turkey did not review that information to identify persons opposed to them politically. However, more recently Wikileaks released personal information of ICE Agents and other Immigration staff in the Untied States. The reason was to protest and highlight the US Government's policy to separate children from parents who entered the country illegally. Wikleaks defended their action by saying that the information was already publically available. However, the list of over 9,000 Immigration staff was put together by another activist who spent a great deal of time researching and trawling through various social media sites. As a result, a specific list was completed which in my opinion, negates the defence that the information was already publically available. I am certain that if a similar list was compiled and released by Law Enforcement relating to Wikileaks, Antifa or any other politically motivated group there would be calls condemning that action, citing harassment and intimidation.

The Australian Government has provided the same assistance to Assange as they would provide to any other Australian citizen who finds themselves in legal trouble in another sovereign country. We know that he saw Australian officials when he was inside the Embassy and they have also been to Belmarsh prison. We also know that a few years ago the Government provided assistance to Assange to have his Australian pass port renewed. Others have stated that Australia should demand Assange be released and other have even suggested that he be removed forcibly and returned to Australia. Assange is currently involved in a complicated legal process involving a number of different countries and that's why those suggestions are ludicrous. Finally, you, like others on this subject seem to be blaming Zionists for the position Assange finds himself in.

That's the story told in this video (and other places); and I think it's just bizarre. You'd have to be incredibly naive to imagine that this incident wouldn't be used against an activist as prominent as Julian. His lawyer said it looked like a setup and I agree. I read years ago that one of these women had been a CIA asset; but, you don't hear about that very much any more.
