Trump revelled in the damage inflicted upon his opponent, Hillary Clinton, by a series of sensational leaks published by the site.
Now, as President, Donald Trump has performed a spectacular flip, presiding over an administration determined to imprison the publisher of the leaks.
In Part Two of its investigation into Julian Assange, Four Corners looks at Assange’s activities conducted during the nearly seven years he spent sheltering in the Ecuadorian Embassy.

I wish we could have a look at the future so we could understand what reason The DOJ is doing this. I think you will find a time in the future where you will be able to look back at this and see that there was a reason for this to be played out the way it is playing out. I follow Q and so do millions and millions of people. We are not uninformed....as the MSM tries to convince people. We are well informed of the corruption in the world.

This Russian hacking theme is still being used as a cover for Seth Rich's murder!!! OMG. I could not listen to the BS story after that. Terrible work for a 'professional' documentary! The emails were transfered to a USB drive, proving that the emails were leaked from within. Not hacked by Russian spies. This evidence is in the US court system as FACT!

Anonymous Person absolutely correct. The high speed transfer rate of the data proves it was internal and downloaded to a thumb drive. It was clearly a leak. JA never named his source, he couldn't, but Kim Dotcom claims to have all the proof that it was Seth Rich.

The only decent man in that bunch was Edward Snowden..You shouldnt lump him in with those other two scabs. What Edward was entirely different respectful of the rank and file of the NSA, FBI & Justice Department.Edward exposed the 1% who believe they knew what was better for America. Julian did it for his oen ego , "Bradley" Manning deserves to be imprisioned for what he did..Why? Key word Vounteered... For doing that that alone he should be jailed for what he did.... As a semi- hippie wanna be from the 60's and 70's, who graduated in '70, we were battling the "establishment" propaganda then. It wasn't about Dems vs. Republicans so much as fighting to be yourself and express your unique talents. I just didn't fit the mold they tried to fit me in. Secretary, receptionist, cashier, nurse? Not my cup of tea. So I worked roofing houses, exercising race horses, played keyboards in bands, did artwork and photography, and dared anybody to tell me what I couldn't do. I drag raced for four or five years and got 38 class trophies and 3 Eliminator trophies. I fought for fair wages. When I worked "guy" jobs, I insisted on guy wages, when I did the same work. We blew the "establishment" out of the water back then and things got better. But the establishment continues to take advantage of generational ignorance. And the same crap starts all over again. I saved myself a lot of trouble by actually listening to my elders. Their advice was not "old wives tales".

So what's he going to do, refuse the true information just because of who gave it to him? And information that's embarrassing or shows criminality will always give an advantage to one side. In this case it happened to be the republicans over the democrats because that's who it exposed. If reporters could never publish information that gave an advantage to one side then there could never be any reporting. I have no doubt at all that if in his early days people had given him information that was embarrassing to the republicans or russia that he would have published that too. This is such a biased farce the idea that he was working for Russia and this documentary spent way too much time on that angle.

ABC as you often do, you report some parts of the story and intentionally not report other important parts of the story, which steers public opinion away from key aspects of the actual truth. Just one example of many is that while you mentioned that Julian Assange was sentenced to 50 weeks imprisonment for skipping bail, you forgot to mention that 50 weeks was the near maximum sentence (of 52 weeks) for skipping Police bail and for which the charges had been dropped , and you forgot to mention that for such a minor offence, not only was he given a disproportionate sentence but also put in a maximum security prison Belmarsh, which is normally for the most dangerous criminals, in solitary confinement for 23 hours per day. You also forgot to mention the very limited access to his lawyers in order to defend himself etc. Isn't that gross abuse of the UK legal system worth a mention to highlight the vindictiveness of the US and UK government's persecution of Julian Assange because be exposed some inconvenient truths eg. war crimes in Iraq etc, which were obviously in the public interest. ABC is it not in the public interest to highlight this horrible injustice by us "the good guys" ? Sometimes you have a bad habit of bypassing some major points !
