The Miami Heat were able to avoid elimination in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals by defeating the Boston Celtics 103-84. Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, LeSean McCoy, and Ric Bucher debate the biggest reason for the Heat winning Game 7.

Jimmy Butler played 90s style basketball, and it was great. Slashing to the basket, drawing the foul, pulling up and shooting midrange jumpers, drawing fouls, knocking down his free throws, shooting 3s when open and not as a first option, playing tough defense.

💯 that’s what I noticed about this Heat team and how they played situational and fundamental basketball at times. They created shots and they were smart shots. That play in game 7 when Butler was driving to the basket and Robert Williams encountered him and he did this subtle hesitation/fake move, that was a beauty.

You cant blame the coach in my eyes because this is not the first time celtics got this far. They have done it multiple times with different head coaches. I look at it as a fraction. The celtics are the denominator and the staff is the numerator. If the top number keeps changing, then the issue has to be the bottom number. Its no way this core has had 3 head coaches and reached this far in the playoffs and loose. At some point you have to change up the players.

What also needs to be said is that the Celtics put themselves in a horrible position going down 0-3 because when you do not finish off a team that you're clearly more talented than, you open yourself up to injuries which is exactly what happened to Jayson Tatum. If they did not go down 0-3, they probably could have closed out the Heat and being preparing for the Nuggets in the finals. Instead, they had to work themselves so hard and push so much and play more games which then created more of an opportunity for a player to get hurt which in this case was their best player, Jayson Tatum. The Celtics were the more talented team, and they should have beat the Heat, but the Heat was the more cohesive team with better coaching, so they won.

As a Celtics fan I saw this coming as soon as Tatum got hurt. I’m honestly just not surprised it’s the same story with this team coming 🤏 close but still losing every time. I no longer believe this team is capable of winning a championship. Yeah they will make deep playoff runs but won’t finish the job, I just can’t trust them with this construction. And I’m tired of the revolving door of HCs we had 3 in the five years Tatum has been here get some consistency at the HC position and I do not think mazula is the guy I loved Udoka but we know how that went. I just can’t anymore with this team. And Jayson Tatum may not be responsible for this game but dude he needs to be able to hit mid range shots or just attempt more to his game. But also another take away I don’t want to hear Brown might be better than Tatum it’s just not true. He well deserves whatever a team is gonna pay him but man he is not a #1 guy on a championship team Tatum however that verdict is still in session.

The fans already knew the heat were legit when healthy. Even the west knew this, but we know depending on the match up , the will not beat a western team. I’m a laker fan and I looked at the hear at the start of the playoffs, as a high seed playing in a lower seed division. The lakers were the same way, unfortunately we did not have a consistent player like Murray or that Martin or bam or porter or a Gordon. For some odd reason a bulk of the starters and role players play like , some Evil cartoon character stole their ability to play basketball. It’s was crazy.

About the new NFL rule about fair catches I am surprised no owner or team has not brought to the attention of the playoff scenario. Most of everybody wants to see that team march down the field to the endzone in the playoffs. How does hurt or help (besides player safety) because you have against time, timeouts, and the length of the field. How does this affect any playoff game forthcoming!! Regular season give it a shot; The playoff situation it should be null and void. I do value a factual opinion or fact from a veteran NFL player about this playoff situation. No team wants the fair catch rule to be the determining factor to end the game. Especially for anyone who plays on the defensive side to stop the offense. Thank you everyone involved in SPEAK!! I enjoy and love the show!!

Celtics relied too much on talent and the Heat relied on hardwork and discipline. In all sports H&D will elevate you higher and one should know what lack of H&D will do.

Joy nailed it. Take JT out of the game so his injury doesn't demoralize the team and also allow JT to calm his injury.

Dude was stealing quotes from Charles Barkley and not acknowledging it. At least Joy acknowledged Shaq for the quote. 😂

Miami having "less talent" and beating these teams is a big nod to Coach Spo. Getting the absolute max out of everyone.

Keep that same energy for thinking Caleb Martin should've been Eastern Conference MVP. I just bet $50 on him to win Finals MVP at 50-1. $2500 + $600 or $800 extra. 💵🤑

So is the panel gonna admit that the Heat were the better team? Not the more talented, but better.

Joy is one to talk about disrespect when she has been disrespecting Joker, even diminishing Jokers accomplishments every chance she gets. Its been fun to watch the nuggets shut her up and put her in her place.

It’s true that the perception of the Heat is that we aren’t as good as a team as the 76ers as though we don’t remember their recent history. People just hate Miami. See the hate of the Hurricanes
