People act like a good QB can do it all alone. Look at Joe Burrow. He definitely is elite but even he can’t make it to the superbowl with the o-line he’s had which was just as bad as the Giants. Like why do we think a QB thats constantly scrambling is gonna make ANYTHING happen? I agree with Scheon. Give him a chance with weapons and protection. The year Daboll came in and had him run north and south was his bounce back year. Last year they struggled and he got to dancing again and had a mediocre season. Singletary who the Giants signed cost 90% less with the same numbers

I’m a Giants fan, I don’t think DJ is that good but 2 things can be true. His best WR in his entire career has been Darius Slayton a 5th round pick from auburn he’s had 700+ yards 4-5 seasons. WTF do u think a weapon like Nabers can do? We’ve had 1-2 Legit O linemen in DJs 5 years he’s on his 3rd coach 2nd GM that did not draft him but did pay him n believe there was heavy ownership pressure to do that after the playoff win. So when that GM says yeah it’s time for the 40M QB to put up or shut up after another season full of injuries. With upgrades in key positions WR,OL build a good team for whoever the QB is instead of thinking having 1 really talented/good RB is a QBs best friend and will fill all of the other holes on the team. Saquon is a beast n will ball in Philly but they’re acting like we weren’t below the Eagles n Cowboys with him not to mention his injury history and high usage. Either DJ will prove his worth or he’ll get cut 😂 it’s simple but still build the actual foundation to the team OL, WR instead of making the RB the foundational piece

These are people who clearly don’t pay as much attention to the Giants. Eli at the end of his run had a terrible o-line. Then we had major coaching and GM issues. We finally got a competent GM and HC but had inherited the terrible decisions of the front office prior. This is the true start to the Scheon/Daboll era. 2024 I believe (correct me if i wrong) is the first season where Scheon and Daboll pretty much built this squad. Its going to be an interesting season for the Giants

Acho what you are saying about Daniel Jones and the Giants is misleading. Yes he didn’t and doesn’t have any Pro Bowl offensive linemen but he has something even better. He has an All Pro left tackle. Andrew Thomas was an All Pro in 2022. And in 2021 and 2022 Daniel Jones did have a Pro Bowl WR in Kenny Golliday. Kenny was a Pro Bowler in 2019 with the Detroit Lions. Also Danny Dimes had Evan Engram who was a Pro Bowl TE while with the Giants.

These guys talk like they are unaware of Cap implications, and Brian Burns was the biggest move the Giants made this offseason, not drafting Malik Nabers. A healthy Wandale Robinson along with the development of Cager and Theo Johnson at the TE position also helps. A bit surprising how unsophisticated this conversation was.

i promise you those three have NEVER watched more then 20 minutes of the giants play. I know this to be a fact cause if they had they would have seen DJ show flashes of elite playmaking ability with his ARM not just legs. Once i heard that i knew they was just talking out their smelly hole.

i agree even though acho he not a fan of Daniel jones he knows that daniel jones hasnt had the best help in his career. this is my personal opinion. daniel jones rookie year was promising because he had 24 tds and 12 interceptions and lets be honest who was on that team other than him barkley and sterling that helped jones. And i agree to acho point if you pay someone 40 million dollars you want to make sure you think what he is by putting the best cast around him and after that you can get a fair assesment on him. With all honesty I really feel daniel jones can be a starting qb in the NFL, im not sure if he can be ELITE, but i do believe this year is the best balance team he had in his career and i will say to you guys if he performs the way he has in the past especially with this team this year, then i have no problem letting him go becaus eno i can say he is definitely not a good qb even with a competing roster around him.

do these analyst understand how the game works. its a team thing. he has always had less help. the last 6 years aside from saquon he was the only player that has gave little hope to win games. saying he outright sucks aint fair to him. Saquon was a a vital piece but lets be real only so much a rb and qb can do for a team with no help elsewhere outside Slayton.

Daniel Jones got drafted that high because of peyton/eli manning. He went to their qb camps while at duke and i remember peyton and eli talking him up before his last year at duke. I wholeheartedly feel them giving him a nod pushed his draft status up a lot and made GMs see something that wasnt there and thought they could maybe develop him

But Shady can’t handle that the Giants didn’t want to pay an injury prone RB on the wrong side of 25 who still barely helped their offense last year 12+ million. For Barkley Giants got Burns, Runyon and Olumenor. And a RB with Barkley numbers the same year.

We wipe 2 Joe Judge years, ugh, we even hire kitchens and Garrett. 1 playoff year with his leading Wrs Barkley and Richie James (aka the guy who could not help Patty). Another injury with Minimal games behind the second worse line in nfl history. Maybe if we traded barkley we could have locked in that top 3 and draft a QB. Until it's Jones until March 2025. Between Jones's lack durability and Giants bad hires/draft picks. Here we are.

Hes had an Darius slayton as WR1 who’s at best a WR 3 on 25 other teams , 31 year old Shepard, a saquon that never played a full season, and im sure you couldn’t name our tight end up until Waller this past season. And then Waller only played in 12 games ..

@@James-cq5sy these are just excuses...Good/great players elevate other players games...Jones just doesn't...Slayton and Wan'dale are both good receivers mo matter how you slice it...Jones doesn't do well with pre-snap adjustments, he doesn't do well with post-snap reads...good players play above the x's and o's not just blindly following what a coach says he should do (think about it)...if a play is breaking down, very rarely does Jones extend to make something happen, he tries to tuck and run...no matter how you slice it, that won't cut it ijs
