One of the women took off her rather massive three orchid corsage and laid it on the head table when she went to dance with her husband, a general and...you guessed it...when she got back to her seat, the orchid corsage had vanished.

Today at work (I'm a welder), like most days, I have your play list running in the background, and listen all day while I weld, anyway, over the past few weeks, the other welders around me, who would listen to all types of music throughout the day started turning their radios down, or OFF and would be listing to this channel and would get into some spirited debates over a wide range of subjects, then today, while listing to this segment about Sgt Reckless, a welder who was a Marine in his younger days, and not really into history at all, came over, turned up the volume on my PC and sat down. Sir you gained and entire shop full of fans and subscribers, but that ole Marine who didn't care for history is now your biggest fan just because you did a story on a subject that impacted him.. Now, he has you tuned in, and when anyone gets to loud, it almost starts a fist fight, because he would rather listen to you and all these great stories than hear some song over a radio that seems to be repeated every ten minutes.. Sir, please keep doing what you do, it really does reach and touch a LOT of people who never thought History was so interesting

I used to raise and train my own horses, I can appreciate the character this horse had and how endearing it must have been to the soldiers she served with. As an equestrian I love stories about Reckless, and I really have to thank you for making this video. Nearly every mention of Reckless focuses only on the Vegas outpost battle and her role as a munitions hauler, your commentary on her personality and appetite are a side of her rarely mentioned and it brings a tear to my eye, I've known enough horses with similar traits over the years that this video really made her feel alive to me, and included some images of her that I have never seen before.

I suppose they might be better for jungle missions where you have to be silent than vehicles might be, and could get up steep inclines on uneven terrain without needing to stretch supply lines and maintenance crew as much as track vehicles. I live in Morocco and I've seen donkeys carrying heavy loads up steep and muddy rock-strewn paths more sure-footedly than four-wheel drives and they do it all day on a handful of oats and some grass. I'm not sure why they stopped using them come to think of it, probably animal welfare thank christ.

Once again you amaze and delight! Thank you so much. My uncle was a Marine Lt. in Korea for 18 months. Highly decorated, he stayed for life, retired a Colonel. When the book "Reckless, Pride of the Marines" was published in 1955, he gave me a copy and told some stories not in the book. I was 9 years old, loved to read and this was my first book as a gift. Two stories, one was Reckless was shot at by two Chinese soldiers, and she chased them off the ridge they were on, the other was her affinity for wet t-shirts. Anytime anyone hung up their freshly laundered clothes she would make a beeline to the wet t-shirts! By the way, still have the book...

I have lived with horses all but two of my seventy two years. They do have personalities that can be humorous if a person will take the time to observe them on an even footing. One of Dad’s favorite saddle horses, a gray gelding got by with a lot more than either my brother or I ever did. Dad had always clipped the winter coats from the saddle horses each spring. One spring it turned quite cold and Dad put a light blanket on his boy to keep him warm. That evening all that was left of the new blanket was the white neck band and two straps, along with a collection of green cloth scattered about the box stall. It had given Rebel a full day’s entertainment to tear off the small pieces. Another Reckless. He never had cake...... or flowers. This shows that even in the worst times, some good can be found.
