I had the 12" of this when I was a kid. I'll always have a soft spot for old Stalker.

Kyle, I am a fan of the OG stalker. He's a ranger so he needs to blend into his surroundings so having a camouflage look works well for young Steve (and later Steve). He hits all the looks and feels for me so I was happy to get him. Adding the scar was a welcome detail. The unattached accessories are cool for posing and action figure photography. Great review.

Smg is the mp40 classic ww2 german subgun rifle is a m249 saw and pistol is a 1911 with extended mag. All very timeless guns so can work in a lot of setting cant wait to pick one up myself

Stalker looks more like SGt. Johnson from the Halo series, but as one of the few black Joes, I had to add him to my collection.

Great review Kyle! I was the same way as a kid about stalker, but now he's a must have for me. I think he is one of the best figures they have made. I think he resembles a military trooper better than the rest of the joes

My first G.I. Joe figure was the 3 3/4 Stalker with the giant yellow backpack, with the 3 saying and one gun noise. So for that reason, I have a soft spot for Stalker. If he was in that gear, I would 100% get him. But with this gear, I'm not sure.

I am with you. The flames reflected in his soulless (looking) goggles of the commando Snake Eyes has always outshined his ninja persona, to me, and I wish that could get some of that representation in the movies if they are going to keep him central in future ones. But, being, an old dude collecting these things, I can just make my own head movies with him to the point where my eyes rain. Hasbro made this figure perfect and now just to have him on the retro card!

This is one I keep debating. He was a character I liked but I feel didn’t get enough attention in the media. But trying to cut some purchases as well. He’s just on that borderline for me.

Stalker is one of those characters who had a larger role in different media than the cartoon (which really didn't do much for characterization itself). In the comic, Stalker was always a big character. In the first 20 issues he was more or less in the role of Duke. As the series went on, Hama would use him to explain philosophy of patriotism and loyalty. He also did the most amazing bit of firearms feats in the ENTIRE SERIES when he shot a dude in the eye through his own sniper rifle scope from the top of a mountain in the dark after escaping a gulag. I love the added scar, because he is one of those characters that have the true spirit of GIJoe. The machine gun is not meant to go in the back holster. That's for the submachine gun.

As a fan of the very first era of G.I. Joe I prefer the older lighter green color and my hopes are that they will re-visit this figure in the future and give him his original colors. On the other hand I see what the Hasbro team was trying to accomplish by making him more realitic and it works forthis figure and I was actually surprised at how much I like him but that artwork for the box is horrendous, not sure why they have to have different people do the artwork every time but it gets annoying, especially when you see the Kamakura/Cover Girl/Spirit artwork. I am also 100% with you about including a file card on the back, and not the 5 different language version. They should also include a stand for the figure, I might have to go with the ringside collectible stands that you use. Lastly, I wish the weapons would have more colors added to them besides all black, the do it with the knives, why not the guns? I like Gridiron Studios weapons for these figures, do you get any from there? Great review, and like I mentioned in a previous video, glad that you are a G.I. Joe fan, your reviews are good.

I know what you meant but the timing of that statement was really bad since Spade was unfortunately used as a derogatory term for black people. I know there was no ill meaning or intent behind it and you didnt even realize it which is why me and the rest of my minority friends found that sh*t funny as hell. You're good brah! Great review!
