Very nice for everyday. Shabbat/Shabbos/Yom Tov is a little more complicated. The laws are more intricate. I think the challenge I have is the restriction on having the colors/liner "mixing" with each other. (also, you can't do a "new" color the next day..stick with the color you started with) As I understand, a separate brush (which can be quite a few brushes and I sometimes get confused which is for what. Sometimes I tape and write on it which color which brush is for) is required for each shade and the placement of the colors is to be "next" to each other. Not sure about the foundation/blush.I read some say it's ok to put the blush "over" the foundation and other places I thought it said..again it has to "meet" the blush not be under the blush. The other challenge are the laws of washing the face and moisturizing and reapplying the color the next day (on Shabbat/Yom Tov). I tried a watery soap mixture to remove on Shabbat (night) and then "spray" the moisturizing oil careful not to "smear" which is a Shabbat/Yom Tov prohibition. I get stuck when now I have a clean face ON Shabbat....do I "reapply" the whole make up routine ? or is it halachally correct to NOT wash it off night before and simply to "add" on top of the existing powered colors the next morning? Another challenge has been that I have skin that can break out pretty easily and yet my skin needs the moisture at least every 8 -10 hours. So this is what I came up with...and I may need to be corrected: Friday before Shabbat/Shabbos/Yom Tov I wash throughly , apply serums, moisturizer liberally, and apply small amount of color/eyeliner and then just get through Shabbos. A 3 day Yom Tovim is more challenging and that is when I just take it off all the color that first night with diluted soapy water and spray the moisturizer (which is more of an oil) and apply no color. Looking forward to you doing videos on this. Guidelines for Application IN ORDER FOR OUR MAKEUP TO BE PERMISSIBLE TO APPLY ON SHABBOS, THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES ON HOW TO APPLY IT MUST BE FOLLOWED. • Before applying Shabbos makeup your face has to be clean and dry of any previous cosmetics, moisturizers & oils ( I think this is for the next day..erev Shabbos you can apply moisturizers?) . For example, you cannot apply Shabbos blush on top of your non Shabbos cream foundation. It is permissible to reapply Shabbos makeup on top of Shabbos makeup that you had on previously only if it is the same color. • You must have brushes that are designated for Shabbos makeup only. Each product & color must have its own brush. • You cannot mix makeup colors on Shabbos • One color can not be applied on top of another color or next to each other causing them to blend. An example of this is applying blush next to bronzer or blending two eyeshadows on your eyelid. Applying blush or bronzer on top of Shabbos foundation is an exception to this rule and is permitted. • After applying Luminosity you must wait until it is completely absorbed in your skin (approximately a half hour) before applying Shabbos makeup on top of it. • Qween lip oil can be worn alone or on top of a Shabbos lip powder. THE LIP POWDER CANNOT BE APPLIED ON TOP OF IT. www.7thdayshine.com/about

Yes. It seems to be pretty standard that products used on Shabbat have to be in powder form and applied with a brush from product tipped into the lid (not directly from the container) to a clean, product-free face. I've also seen rulings that you can't mix colors or layer them one atop the other. There may be other rules as well. It's probably best to ask your Rav for his specific rulings to be on the safe side.

If you are in another country, it's best that you know ahead of time how much it will cost you to obtain this makeup by post. The shipping to Israel was $20 for three small items and I accepted this. However, what I was not warned about is that the import tax on the package is also $20. Also, it is not delivered to your address, it is delivered to an arbitrary location with which you may not be familiar as in my case. I hope to pick it up soon, the hours are NOT convenient. All I can say is, for the extra $40 over the price of the cosmetics plus having to pick it up, I certainly hope it will have been worth it. AFTER I RECEIVED IT....If it wasn't so difficult for me to get this makeup, I would use the eyeliner everyday. It is the BEST eyeliner I've ever used.

Could you please explain why one can apply makeup on the Sabbath? Am I understanding this correctly? How and what way is this according to Halacha?
@lesaheliorahavramsonkarapo42115 ай бұрын
I see you have a website and I did view it, but for me on the Sabbath I want to devote my "all" to the attention of HaShem and not to myself, so if I was going to use this makeup, I would apply it before Shabbat and not during Shabbat.
