It was also ridiculous. Seeing as though, love her or hate her, Gaga is undoubtedly one of, if not The most creative artist of her generation. Grace hasn't been relevant for a Long time. And sadly that's what happens when you get older, and your star declines or your creativity tapers off, you throw shade at the younger ones. Madonna did it to Gaga, too... 🤷♂️

I don't understand why the concept of throwing shade is so...misunderstood by people. Whitney saying "Paula was singing off key" is not throwing shade; it's just a statement of fact. That's like saying "Madonna cannot act" or "Katy Perry has big boobs." For actual shade, look at what Aretha said when the reporter asked if Cissy was backing her up: "She was...in the background." That is shade.

Cissy was one of Aretha's background singers back in the day. Aretha made a point to let everybody know Cissy no longer tours with her cause she wasn't good enough to back her up. So years later, Aretha had both the famous daughter & the mother backing her up. Cissy felt Whitney deserved a solo at least. Aretha treated both like the hired help & then rubbed it in Cissy's face. Aretha didn't bother showing up at Whitney's funeral what a bitch she was! Some of these singers are so empty. They really are shallow & petty.

Grace Jones is famous and respected for what she did BACK THEN. But her behaviour of recent years and her attempt to drag everyone is laughable. She had two maybe three popular songs. She spits at her concerts, excuse me... I meant her sets at festivals. She is not legendary or iconic, that's reserved for Prince, Michael, Mariah, Aretha, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga. Yes, Gaga qualifies, and there are less in this generation that qualify based on performance, creativity, hits and VOCALS. Grace Jones may have been a look book in her day but now she's a sad old bitter woman who can't give a decent interview and resorts to negative comments about those who ARE successful and have LONGEVITY
