I wanted to point out how my grass is doing with the cold temps. I also wanted to point out how well my celebration bermuda tolerates shade.

Let the green season begin 😁

My lawn is waking up, too. My front and side yards are getting more sunlight, so they are greening up faster. My backyard, however, is still mostly dormant.

Curious to know if you considered Tahoma 31 v Celebration Bermuda…any thoughts on Tahoma 31?
@TheALG3 ай бұрын
I did briefly consider tohoma but at the time I choose celebration because the supplier was next door to me and got a discount. I have no regrets but I am sure tohoma 31 is just as good.

@@TheALG thanks man, so shade tolerance is about the same for both in your opinion?
@TheALG3 ай бұрын
It's about the same, depends on which research you look at. Each research claims one is better than the other but from I have seen personally, it's about the same. You still need about 5 hrs of sun minimum to have the grass thrive. Shade tolerance doesn't mean the grass likes shade.

@@TheALG I appreciate the insight man! Also, can’t believe it’s been 2 years since you installed the Celebration Bermuda…feels like it was just other day! All the best this season and keep up the good work my brother…appreciate your knowledgeable insights!!

I love your lawn honey!! How does Celebration grow vs Common? Does it grow faster? Same? etc? My husband bought me a few plugs of Celebration after watching your videos, but I have mostly common.

It grows and spreads very fast. It looks better than common. It gives off a dark green blue color. It's growth patterns seems to be more sideways vs up.

@@TheALG I’m thinking about celebration for my backyard. I live in Georgia and my backyard gets 3.5-4.5 hours of good sunlight per day. Would celebration do well with the 3.5-4.5 hours of sunlight?
@TheALG3 ай бұрын
It would be safer if it was 4 to 5 hours. 3.5 to 4.5 is pushing it
