One of my many ideas is done. Honoring Jonathan's memory.
He was misunderstood but he wanted to be loved.
Jonathan died knowing in the last moments that he was loved. Clary loved him, because he was the only blood family she had.
There would be many moments what I'd loved to see more of his journey. His death was beautiful and heartbreaking.
One of my favourite characters and huge applause to Luke Baines & Will Tudor for portraying Jonathan. We were able to see many sides of Jonathan. His evil, vulnerable, loving side.

It's been over week from the finale. It's been painful and takes time to get used to new weeks. Also the deadline of fanbook for Luke is coming closer and that means I have to work with this book harder.
I have so many ideas but you have to be patient. There might be weeks that I don't upload new video, but they're coming eventually.

I really like the scene when Jonathan say " I have a sister" . The expression he having that time really show his affection and love for his sister 😘😘😘

I loved the moment of how his hair turned red since books. It just breaks my heart thinking that he was supposed to be GOOD. But he was forced to be evil since before he was born. In another world, there would have been a Jonathan who wasn’t forced to be a demon. That’s why I can’t hate him, no matter how hard I try, no matter what he does. Breaks my heart that Clary will never know the brother she should have had.

I feel like Jonathan's characteristic is beyond aewsome., but we have lost the chance seeing more from him, everything was too fast for me. He might be a monster but still, he's a brother who cherished his littile sister with all of his heart. Also, I'm in love with your video. Everything is too perfect, too great, and too heartbreaking at the same time ((TAT))

His character was so different from the one in the book. This Jonathan was no villain. His death was a really heartbreaking scene. When Clary tells Izzy that Jonathan was the real victim and Izzy replies with its not you its the rune, I thought that was so wrong. No one ever gave him a chance. Amazing video! I loved it and it fit perfectly with the character

In the books Jonathan's death kinda got me to tears too... As when the demonic blood got drained out his actual personality showed up... Soft and caring... And understanding his mistakes. He helped Clary and others to escape from (i dont remember whom exactly I read the books a long time ago-)...

I'm in literal tears, this edit is portraying Jonathan's mind and character perfect. I fell in love with his character in the books and then even more in the show. Jonathan is such a twisted and conflicted character and it's just really hard to dislike him because he is after all, just a boy who was abused and abandoned. He just wanted someone to care for him and that's why he was so overprotective over Clary because he finally had someone, but this overprotection seemed psychotic sometimes. I'm just happy, that he died knowing that Clary loves him, that's what he always wanted, someone to love him. In the end he just deserved her love because he had this horrible life. Nearly forgot to mention that: Both Will and Luke nailed it as Jonathan Christopher Morgernstern! Anyway, I'm just really gonna miss the show and him sm.

Wowww Riina...this truly heartbreaking & beautiful...you captured his story so well. Jonathan was an amazing character and deserved so much better...I wish he would have overcome his darkness in the books & show to become good! And Luke & Will did AN FABULOUS JOB with by portraying him the way he deserved

I really hate how people seem to always dismiss the fact that Jonathan was not evil but nature, he was actually quite the opposite. We saw that in the last moments of his life during "The Mortal Instruments: City of Heavenly Fire". He asked for forgiveness for all the horrible things he did while he had demon blood in his system, and he died wanting nothing more than simply to be forgiven and loved. I think the show showed it quite well, his want to be understood and to want the love he never got because of something he could not control. It was Valentine that made him the way he was, and he could not exactly fight it. Demon blood proved to be stronger than any shred of good he had in him by nature and only death managed to pull it out and show everyone his true face, but sadly, that was not enough. I am happy that at least in the last moments of his life he felt loved, and I hope that gave him some comfort. Ave Atque Vale, my dear boy. Hail and Farewell.

Crying my eyes out I was hoping they would let him live but no they broke my heart just like when I read the book but more so with the show cause he wasn't as evil as he was in the books. Book Seb would have forced Clary to be with him by killing the world n locking her in a prison of Hell with him but show Jonathan just wanted his sister to love him n only him he was obsessive and devoted to her only. I mean was aslo in the books but more so in show.

At the first moment I hate Jonathan, but in the end I loved him, and I felt bad for his death 😭this edit is a heartbreaking, but it's so good, Riina, I'm so sorry for not having seen the premiere, but u will go so far, and your edit will always remind me Shadowhunters ❤❤❤😭

Luke Baines is such an INCREDIBLE actor! I can't say it enough! To take a character like Jonathan (who i despised in the books) and make him into someone I really, really felt for.. is just tv magic! I can't wait to follow his career 🥰🥰

Im gonna be honest here ! I hated jonathon! The sight of him made me fill up with hatrid ! But this edit changed my feelings! I feel so bad for him.despite All the people he has killed he didnt deserve this he just wanted a family. Such a amazing breathtaking edit that made me break down in tears I need more! Jonathon's story was so sad. He only had Valentine and Lilith to raise him, and it's clear he doesn't really understand what love and doing the right thing are, but no one really gave him the chance to figure it out, and he really did want to learn so Clary would love him back.

Bro I actually love Jonathan, cuz he wasn’t actually bad by choice! He was made this way and was neglected, abused,etc. all he wanted was to be loved, he wanted a family and his longing for love turned into obsession. Which is sad, poor boy should of been given another chance ❤❤❤❤

Jonathan is the ultimate example of nature vs. nurture. I don't believe he was meant to be evil, I believe he was bred to do questionable and twisted things, which is all the more heartbreaking. I do think that, had Jocelyn taken him into hiding with her, she would have been able to abate his darker side and help him come to terms with it, he would have been a kind and loving brother who was aware of boundaries ( let's be honest, this was a huge thing no one ever taught him ), and a really good shadowhunter. valentine and amara are at fault here, they are the ones who forced him to become who he is because otherwise he wouldn't have survived what he was forced to go through. took me a while to fully appreciate his character and how he's far from being a fully dark character compared to someone like valentine, but right now I'm not someone who is capable of hating him.

man, they butchered my guy. it's an interesting and a sympathetic take on his character, but in the books, Jonathan is evil just because he is. he doesn't have a sob story for why he was the way he was (in the books at least).
