This was indeed the game that introduced me to cyberpunk at a young age. Fast forward a few decades and I'm trying to write some of it myself, lol.

Good introduction to the game, but I would have liked to hear about some of the games flaws too. Talk about what makes it good, but also what could have made it better.

I must admit that I've never played this when it came out due to only having the Sega Genesis at the time. Played the Sega version though, which was much different than this one and loved the hell out of it.

I personally prefer the Sega version by far. They are very differently games and only share the same name lol

@@mightyretro Ditto though it was the SNES game I owned and I had actually played the tabletop game some first. I got this for my 10th birthday so about a year after it came out. Both are fun but IMO the Genesis game does a better job of making the player feel like they are controlling a Shadowrunner. The SNES game is just basically finishing a run you were in the middle of when the game starts. The Genesis game you have a goal but decide which runs you want to take to gain the money, skills, and information needed to complete your goal. Also the Genesis game has more enjoyable combat and Decking IMO. Plus the weapon prices in the SNES game are insane. Sure in the Genesis game you need to buy ammo but ammo is cheap, and the guns in the SNES game cost so much more that buying a Genesis Gun, a License if needed, and a generous ammo supply is cheaper then the cost for a gun of the same type in the SNES game. For example even with no Negotiation skill rating the most expensive Shotgun in the Genesis game costs less the twenty-five percent what the cheapest price for a Shotgun in the SNES game is.And there are similar or worse price increases in the other guns the SNES game has with the exception of the cheap Light Pistols you are probably only buying if something has gone very wrong in the game.
