I was used to playing games like Super Mario World when I was kid, I rented this and my mind was blown. People don't give this game enough credit for being such a dark game on the Super Nintendo.

I was the only one in my D&D group as a kid who had this game. Every single one of my friends was enamored with it and begged to borrow it. I think it spent more time away from my house than it did in it. Everyone who played it became obsessed with it. Mark of a legendary game.

I used to spend a lot of time in the first hotel room...going in and out of the 2 bottom rooms killing the same few guys over and over for karma. Id have almost max gun skill and close to max health before even leaving the starting zone.

Never been a fan of RPGs but this one somehow attracted me, partly because of that dark & grimey soundtrack.

This game blew my friggin mind back in the day. I would love to see this game - and the sequel that was promised - be ported to the modern Shadowrun Engine. With a remixed soundtrack. Too bad it'll never happen... officially, at any rate.

I think overall, the Genesis Shadowrun was the better game, and actually more faithful to the rule set. (Essence! Going on infinite actual Shadowruns!) But the SNES version, killed it with the music. It's beautiful, dark, moody, and makes you feel like every shadow you see is another attempt on your life. The Genesis had very repetitive electro rock. If only I could combine the music of the SNES with the gameplay of the Genesis.

For those of you unaware, if you have a ROM of this game, you can get a patch to use the SNES mouse. You will still need a controller, but it's a neat addition.

When I was in Daley, I always wondered where the cars were going and coming from. All the streets are dead end and if you follow the highway to the far left, you see the Aneki building covering the slidewalk slightly before going off screen. I always wondered, what is beyond there?

What a dark game; it even left you the option of killing innocent civilians! Still, I loved when you found out that the mastermind Drake was really a dragon. All's well that ends well I guess.

God damn it I am going to say it! THIS IS THE BEST DAMNED VIDEOGAME SOUNDTRACK EVER MADE!!!!! Also you guys need to check out Batman for the NES because level 1 has better sounding drum fills (a basic display of what could be turned into an extended drum solo I suppose) than this one!

Little piece of info: There is a remake of this game, released in 2013, called Shadowrun Returns. I haven't played it yet myself, so I don't know if it's any good, but still maybe interesting to some of you.

I'm still waiting for us to finally have our living breathing Seattle single player game. You know the tech has been there since GTA 3 and the advent of furniture instead of manifestations of walls and floors and crates in videogames. You see I've been waiting since before technology was ready for this but it is now overdue and god damn those idiots for failing to put together the first true Grand Theft Auto killer that wasn't... well, a GTA ripoff like Scarface or the Godfather which by the way were impossibly enjoyable in the face of their plagiarism. And yes I am referring to the days of the original Xbox so if you're thinking of anything else you are mistaken! And sorry but the Geforce 3 was uber high tech. I bought Doom 3 without owning a computer just to ensure I could someday be a part of the experience. And I've been waiting well since before those days back in the early to mid 2000's.
