He has held the WBO interim junior lightweight title since June 2021 and previously held the WBO featherweight title from 2019 to 2020. As an amateur, Stevenson represented the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in the bantamweight division.

I dont watch boxing much but i just met this dude the other day. I work security and we had a lil hold up with some technicalities of the job so i had to make some calls and verify everything. He was very understanding unlike most people who have money. At the time i didnt know he was a boxer.

The shots that he picks are beautiful. Knowing when to go to the body setting up his opponent with different shots making them do what he wants is masterful. Its one thing to have power for Kos but punishing your opponent for 12 rounds knowing they cant fight back is hell.

How do you think he will do at 135? I think his ability to catch you at the end of his punches while he is moving forward along with being a southpaw, and being a lethal body puncher will suit him well against that division. I smell a Stevenson vs Tank big money showdown in the next couple of years. Not to overlook Devin Haney.

@@DIRTKNAPFX I think he should work on building himself more bc the 135 division has very skilled fighters. Anyone can lose and when u move up they hit harder plus 135 fighters are fast too. As far as his boxing IQ hes 2nd to none but when he runs into someone who can hit him and hurt him it will be the true test. When he gets use to 135 hell definitely be a top dog.

Against Valdez your Moma's boy Shakur will be in the receiving end. So far he has only fought no bodies unlike those victims in Valdez's stats.

One of the most technical boxer of todays generation. Truly one of a kind. His footwork, balance and accuracy was great asf. Hes gonna be a super⭐ someday.

I think you do need power at the very top level.....because great fighters have usually good chin and can afford to tale some light punches in orde to place their shots

Double G Games I doubt they’ll ever meet, different weights. And Tank is too big for 135, will have to go to 140 soon. But, if they fought, Tank would win IF he can catch Stevenson. That if is big as a mountain.

Every single aspect of Shakurs game is next level. His punches are surgical and unpredictable, footwork impeccable and defense impregnable. He understands the sport of boxing just as S.R.R and Mayweather did. I see a p4p goat in the making, I'd love to see him against Loma or even Rigandeaux.

Well Shakur is definitely an amazing fighter that I haven't seen in a very very long time and I'm 64 years old I really love this kid he can really mix it up and they don't even see the punches coming that way he can get in and get out is very elusive how his stealthfully penetrates the opponent's defense and chose all kinds of crazy combinations with power!

He's a superstar in the making the question is how far does he go? He got all the things he needs to be a great fighter but can he stay grounded and hungry it's that discipline that separates the good from the greats so many talents have been derailed by their life choices. Tyson, Judah,Broner ect

He’s very accurate with his shots and picks them well. Dictates the pace but if he had a little more power these dudes would be going down. Great fighter though.

@@SB-lw5xt he is 5'7, he can still build some mass, but dont really see him getting past over lightweight. makes no sense moving up to light-welterweight, he would get destroyed by Errol Spence Jr, Terrence Crawford, Thurman, Ugas. Even at lightweight, still have to go through Lomachenko, Ryan Garcia, Richard Commey, Gervonta Davis.

Not saying he is a bad boxer at all, he is great. But the guys at light welterweight are 5'10+, they have at least a 10 lb advantage on him come fight night.

Its crazy how slow the action is for him. It makes him unbeatable IMO, things are so slow and he really makes fighters look slower than what they are. His instincts are are just too fast twitched and totally unmatched. Kid is really gifted man.

He’s good. I’d like to see him go through more adversity though. His opponents didn’t bring any competition. Oscar should be his real first test. Just my opinion.

I can understand why Lomachenko might see this kid as a bad fight for him. Same height but give the reach advantage to Shakur. Add to that fact that this kid has superior balance, great footwork and he does not lean forward when throwing his punches - even when throwing heavier shots. Loma's angles will not be as effective and this kid will offer few opportunities to hit him clean.

Loma would handle him.. Loma moves better, and a lot more experience than his other opponents. Stevenson looks great against lower tier fighters. He needs to be tested more. Loma MAY move down to 130 if he becomes undisputed at 135. Then he’d probably go to stevenson for a belt if Shakur is still there. Also, remember... Loma only fights larger opponents at 135. A lot larger. Shakur would be a great match up for him - same height, proper weight, lighter feet. I think it’d be an epic fight! P.S not hating on Stevenson! He looks fantastic, just needs a bit more champions and prime champions on his resume

Loma fighting Shakur whens he’s more experienced is not good for Loma . That’s the problem with boxing .. THERE IS ALOT OF YOUNG FIGHTERS OUT THERE THAT WILL REALLY PUT A DENT IN SOME OF THESE “ CHAMPIONS” CAREERS .. people don’t like to accept it 🤷🏻♂️

What I love about Shakur is that he doesn't guess. He doesn't throw it until he sees it. Very patient and elite fast twitch. Plus he's got pop. In a few years I don't see him losing to anyone 130-140

His defensive and countering movements are not big movements. They're subtle and small but that's perfect because it leaves you in range to counter. It's a game of inches so don't move by the foot.

Those body shot to bring the high guard down to set up a left hook are vicious. Every time he throws the right hook to the body that high guard instantly comes down Example 3:29 watch how fast he drops his high guard after the right hook to the body lol. Vicious

Its amazing how he takes advantage of everything presented to him and he does it in a split second. It's like his mind moves at lightning speed. If the body opens up he immediately attacks and when that opens up the head he immediately jumps on that. The boy is surgical.
