Then you cleared the code, took it for a test drive, it still misfires and the check engine light is back on? In this video I show you an often overlooked part that's cheap and easy to replace. 2017 Honda Accord Sport. Code P0304 keeps popping back up, not wanting to speed up. Changed out all the spark plugs and still not shifting properly and code comes up

I had a misfire cylinder 3 on dodge 5.7 hemi. Changed both spark plugs for cyl.3 correct stock plugs and properly gapped. Deleted the code ant it came back. So I switched out the coil pack for cylinder 3 and 5. Deleted the code and it came back as still cylinder 3 again. So I think the coil pack is good. Important to note: it only happens in high RPMs, giving it extra gas to get up a hill or on the highway. My next guess is the fuel injector is dirty? Do you think that’s the right track?

I would verify your compression is good first. Is there any new engine noise? Make sure you have right viscosity oil in it. Also maybe pull the valve cover and look at the cam lobes on cylinder 3. Hope it works out for you. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching.

That’s what I’m thinking about my car. My misfire didn’t start happening until after I put this gas from shell. It actually started about an hour and a half after I put the gas

@@shanersmechaniclife3164good idea so far I only ran some injector cleaner thru the fuel. I drive this car to work everyday so taking parts off in not an option atm. Idk if I conveyed how little it happens. I just got back from driving all the way to Colorado (18hrs each way). I didn’t get an engine code the whole way. But on the way back some trucker slammed on his brakes while I was on the on-ramp. So I slammed the gas and passed him and got the code for a misfire Cyl 3. I can go months without getting the misfire. I plan on getting a cheap second vehicle in the coming months so this one can get a rest and shop time.

What do you do of you replaced both spark plug and coil. And the light came back on.

I would check the wiring for any damage or signs of rodents. They love to chew on harnesses. I would also check compression and fuel delivery. Hope you find your problem. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching.

My 2006 Nissan Sentra SE-R is having intermittent rough idle with CEL flashing. By the time I get it to the mechanic, these symptoms stop and no codes show up. Two different shops have each put two code readers on it, but no code history shows up. One shop changed all four spark plugs to see if that would remedy the issue, but it still does the rough idle/CEL blinking occasionally. If I purchased this ignition coil seal and boot kit , how would I know which cylinder the problem is on, that these are truly needed rather an entire ignition coil, or that the problem is truly with the ignition coils or some other part of the engine...?

Have you tried hooking up a basic code reader and scanned it as it was happening? It would be nice to see what area your chasing a problem for before spending time and money on it. Keep me posted on what you find. Thanks for watching.

@@shanersmechaniclife3164 No because it’s happened while I was out driving and by the time I got to a mechanic’s shop and they put a code reader on it, it stops. Took it to a 3rd shop who said they couldn’t even communicate with the computer and it needs to go to a specialty electrical mechanic now (???). Don’t know if that’s true or they’re just trying to drum up business for this special electrical mechanic. Meanwhile I bought a code reader off Amazon to have with me at all times for the next time it does it. Thanks for your reply; I will keep you posted.

I have a Toyota Camry 2001 2.2 Liter engine 4 Cyl . I have this kinda problem. Flashing engine lights on and Misfire Codes. After changing my Spark Plugs and New wires and New Coil wires .It still Misfires. Then I change my Fuel Injectors Change Oil and put some Lucas Fuel Injector cleaner Still Misfires . This is the Codes that is Showing up P0300 Random /Multiple Cylinder Misfire P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Now iam thinking changing my Fuel Pressure Regulator .So is this going to solve my problem on my vehicle .I heard some people will say that the timing chain is the problem .and some will tell me that it is Intake Valve Not Setting Properly .

I would do a compression and cylinder leak down test on it. Make sure the base engine is healthy then go from there. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching.

Hi my cars stuttering on start up by time im round the corner its fine changed spark plugs at local garage and serviced still having the same problem would could it be?

I would check your distributor cap first if you have one. Are you also going thru coolant? If so it might be a head gasket issue ( coolant getting into cylinders ) is you car smoking? Check your battery voltage after it has sat over night. If it is too low the computer might be having issues due to low voltage until the alternator catches up. Hope this was able to help. Keep me posted on what you find.

Or maybe pull your plugs inspect for cracks it was what kept my engine misfiring after I got new plugs new coils installed them and engine light was still on it turns out I cracked 6 plugs when installing them replaced new runs fine no engine light

Cracked spark plugs are very common. Doesn't take much side force to crack them going in or coming out. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Is your misfire for one particular cylinder? Try swapping coils and see if it moves and closely look at the wiring harness for rodent damage and damaged or not fully seated connections. It's possible that your misfire is not ignition related. Could be fuel or intake (carbon build up). Hope this helps and keep me posted on what you find. Thanks for watching.

What trouble codes do you have? Is it possible you damaged a plug on install or possibly a loose coil connector? Check the connections on anything else you took off. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Have you found the problem? Is it one particular cylinder misfiring? Might not be ignition problem. If it's higher milage it could be a carbon build up issue. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching.
