I've given you two options, as it was hard to match the verbal interview with the transcript so the timing is a bit off. Feel free to mute the sound and read the transcript or, just listen to the interview, as it's not going to always match visually with the actual audio.
If you are reading this, and read faster or slower, you can change the speed. Go to the bottom right of video, hit the wheel icon called settings, go to playback speed and choose the preferred speed for you and your reading preferences. Thank you!
Don't forget to hit the subscribe and like button and turn on the notifications so that you won't miss any of the new videos and audio books that I upload. Thank you kindly!
Shannan, Bella, Celeste and Nico Watts
On August 13, 2018, Christopher Watts admitted to killing his pregnant wife, Shannan, and their two daughters Bella, 4 and Celeste 3. During police questioning Chris disclosed that he choked his wife in their Colorado home and then suffocated the children on site at the oil field. He buried his pregnant wife's body in a shallow grave nearby the two oil batteries that he submerged his daughters into the oil batteries as their final resting place. During his trial he pleaded guilty and was charged for the deaths of Shannan, Bella, Celeste and their unborn child, Nico.
By the grace of the heavens, Shannan had an angel watching over her, Nickole who immediately sounded the alarms to the police when Shannan was unable to be reached the morning after her return from a business trip. This rush to find her and the children made it so that Chris was unable to hide his evil acts and thus allowing for justice to be served. Had this not been the case, we may have had one more case of a missing family and unsolved case to add to the already too many that we have on this Earth.
Blessings to the Rzucek and Atkinson Families.

Every single detail she told the detective ended up being significant to the investigation. Beyond just getting him caught she probably played a huge role in how the detectives ended up approaching him for the interrogation with the sheer amount of relevent info she gave them. @vnewen2157
@vnewen2157 6 ай бұрын
@@GG-vq6rothat’s not what the comment said or even remotely implied at all. The cops were onto him, yes, but there have been numerous cases where they were onto the spouse almost immediately yet justice was delayed for years even because they hadn’t figured out the approach fully. Nicole called the cops immediately which meant that he had no opportunity to prepare for the inevitable, clean up or even take a breath. The comment then correctly says that she then fed them highly relevant information because suspicion is one thing but they are still strangers to the case so based on the info she gave they were able to drive the approach which to their credit they got right on the mark. They arrested him within days and basically closed down on the case within weeks which is completely unheard of for a crime of this magnitude. There are so many cases that went a completely different direction even though they were onto the murderer immediately. Some did eventually result in arrest and conviction, but only after an absurd amount of resources and a risky trial. Some did not end up in arrest or conviction at all. Nicole was key factor here and does deserve the credit.

There are many "he must have done something" moments here but for me the absolute definitive one isn't the phone stuffed in the couch, which could have conceivably fallen down the cushions at some point the night before (and she could have conceivably left everything behind if she had left to murder-suicide) is when Nickole says "Why would he back up his truck, it's right under the girls' rooms, and Shannan would have yelled at him for waking them up." That, to me, is the moment that can't be explained away at all. The amount of detail Nickole knows about Shannan's routine (including this tidbit about the garage under the girls' room) is absolutely stunning. I have a best friend of 25 years and I couldn't tell anyone what her favorite shoes are or even a small percentage of the things Nickole knows. Without a doubt this could have been a very different case without her. Kudos, Nickole and best wishes for your healing.

It's so eerie (and obviously horribly sad) to think the entire time Nickole was racing around town, speaking to so many people to find out where she was, texting, calling and waiting for her to respond, that Shanann, her unborn son, and two precious baby girls no longer existed in the world.

@@cheryllees8441 yes, very good. This is a common misnomer in this particular instance. I read about Chris "snapping" frequently. Chris did not snap. He carefully premeditated and planned each murder, then systematically and calculatedly murdered them. He planned on murdering them all probably very early on, as little as a week or two into knowing Nikole. He maybe even fantasized about it before knowing Nikole but only in very short, fleeting moments, never seriously. As time went on and he met Nikole it's a certainty that he flirted with the idea until he decided fuck it, I'm killing them all. He killed his wife, then had a couple hours to cool off. Except he wasn't heated...not even a bit. He can't loaded up her body with the children still alive, drove to a remote area, and killed them/disposed of them all gangland style.

I feel faith that Shannan in Heavenly life was fully aware of what her friend Nikole was doing to guide the authorities to the truth. Look at that home, everything, Everything was impeccable!! As a mother, I automatically knew that Shannon was a mother who made her children's bed. And her bed was stripped like that.. I just knew, I knew he was lying. Plus, I watched a slow close up tape of him opening the car door, and he removes something very small that fit into his hand, and I honestly believe that it was her wedding ring, that he thought he would have more time to get rid of the car, drop it somewhere, and when they found it, they'd find the ring too.
