I can relate girl. My boyfriend and I of almost two years just split due to me going away to college. I've never loved anyone and I never will love anyone like I love him. But he doesn't show me he misses me at all, so I cry to this as well.

Allie this is sooo sad... I've never been dating for two years. So for me it seems really long... I'm so sorry for you. But if the guy doesn't show you that he miss you, you have to leave him. It will hurt. It would undoubtedly break your heart.... But I think that this is the right choice. You have to save you because loving him without being loved in back will destroy you. Are you still going out with him?

Allie I'm sorry I'm from France and I didn't knew that word "split". Then I'm really sorry for you because I can feel that you're broken and hopeless. But it will be okay I promise you. Something will happen in your life soon and it will prove you that giving up was a bad idea. Just act like you don't care neither with the boy.... Boys often leave the first but they do come back the most. I mean that maybe he will regret and tell you that he missed you. Maybe he misses you but he acts like he don't care because it hurts to show his emotions...

Alen John Alex, I think I agree with you...but if you do find better, please let me know. I love Stevie's Voice audition and to my pleasant surprise his studio version even more... but my hunt for the "PERFECT" version continues. Shannon here has a BEAUTIFUL voice and the building looks nice, but I find the volume control (both her voice and the guitar and their blend) a bit unsettling. Maybe it's a little sad (I'll try to blame it on youtube/the internet) that I can listen to her sing this so wonderfully and think "ummmm... almost... almost...." The search continues...

ParxdiseHarry I could not agree more! - Shannon is a phenomenal singer who has such a heartwarming, gentle voice. I find it a real shame that she has this beautiful gift and is unrecognised. Not many people touch my heart when they sing, but she does!

I have listened to Kodaline singing this, then I have Listened to other covers from, Stevie McCrorie, Deanna Johnson, Ellie Goulding, Kori Bukowski, and some others performing the same song.. There aren't many people that can sing this song with the depth of emotion that it's meant to have. Beautiful voice. Only thing that ruins it is the wrong lyrics: 'But if you LOVED me' not 'if you want me'

I believe if you are going to do a cover of a song, and you have a voice as beautiful and meaningful as Shannon's, you have the complete right to make the song your own and change a few lyrics here or there. I completely get where you are coming from, but in the world of music, you can change a song to make it feel closer to your heart and give the song more meaning when you sing it.

I'm actually not huge fan of this cover :/ it turns a love song into a drunken booty call anthem They used the word "love" for a reason in the original I mean it is a cover and she can sing it how she wants but my goodness!
